There are several tell-tale signs that your AC coils need cleaning, including:

You’re getting higher electricity bills.
Your home doesn’t feel as cool as it usually does.
Your AC unit is running longer than usual to cool your home.
Your home is more humid than usual.
The coil is covered in frost while running.

A few drips here and there should not be cause for concern, but if your unit is leaking a large amount of water, then it’s advised that you stop using it until the problem is identified and a solution is determined. The more you use it during a leak, the more issues it will cause.
