"We had a 35 year old solarium in great need of repair. The project was complex and difficult, but Wayne had the skills and expertise to replace six large windows and rebuild the solarium. It was a challenging project, and Wayne did an exceptional job. Our "new" solarium adds greatly to the value of our house. Wayne knows windows and doors and he gets five stars from us! Mary Ross"

Customers say: Quick response

"I found them on the internet and posted that we needed snow removal. Seth, the owner called me within 5 minutes of my post. Seth quoted an hourly charge. Seth sent Paul and he cleared our drive within an hour when we expected our job to take two hours. These are honest people and we highly recommend them."

"The couple that came were amicable and polite. Due to no fault of their own, the movers were also there at the same time of the service, and they willingly worked around them. However, it could be my fault for assuming that Angi request communicates with the recommended pros because I asked for a deep clean interior service as I will be moving out in two days. The cleaning seemed like they just wiped the surfaces rather than a deep clean. I asked for the refrigerator to be cleaned, and I had to clean the freezer myself. Out of the three bathrooms, the two upstairs seemed to be only wiped down, not scrubbed from top to bottom. There are still hard water stains in the toilet, and none of the cabinets have been wiped down. It seems none of the faucets were wiped well since hard water remains. We discussed including grout on the phone, but the bathrooms don't seem to be scrubbed either. Again, this could be my fault because I trusted and did not verify that a deep clean for a move-out interior clean was completed. I learned my lesson to be explicit in what I need despite what the Angi app asks for when requesting the service. Since I move out soon, I will have to go behind and clean again, and I am just out of some money. The cost was not bad, but I guess I paid for the minimal cleaning I got."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While you might get away with once-monthly vacuuming in rooms you hardly use, it’s not ideal in other parts of your home. Your living spaces will look untidy, and leaving all that dirt lying around is not the most hygienic. Plus, the longer abrasive debris sits on your surfaces, the more chance of scratches or damage to carpet fibers.

Deep cleaning after a renovation is important to remove all the dust from construction. This will improve air quality, prevent health issues and increase the home’s comfort level. Also, debris and dust can stain new paint or scratch surfaces, ruining the renovation right from the get-go.

If you don’t have the time or ability to move your fridge, grab a yardstick and slide it underneath to unearth any large items and dust bunnies. Then, attach a microfiber cloth or a tube sock to the yardstick, spray it with a multipurpose cleaner, and sweep it around several times to pick up any lingering messes.

The answer to this question varies by the household, as well as by the room. For high-traffic areas in busier households, aim to mop your floors at least once a week or more as needed. Homes and rooms with less foot traffic can likely get away with mopping every two weeks. Keep an eye on your floors throughout the month and adjust this chore on your household cleaning checklist as necessary.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.
