A microfiber cloth or blind duster is typically the best tool for normal dust accumulation, depending on the extent of the dirt. However, if the blinds are unusually dirty or require scrubbing, or if they’re made of a more delicate material such as wood, check with the blind manufacturer for cleaning recommendations. Cleaning professionals will have the tools and experience necessary to tackle your blinds, making them look new again.
If properly maintained, cellular shades should last between five to seven years. This makes them on the lower end of the lifespan spectrum, which other higher quality shades materials like wood lasting closer to 10 to 15 years.
