"Woke up today to find an invoice from Denver Gutter Cleaning for services performed on 11/6/25. I did get a text from them at 11:24am that day stating they would arrive within a few minutes to one hour. By 3PM they were still a no show so I called Denver Gutter and Ernie answered. Ernie said his records show they did complete our service this morning. I told him I have pictures of full gutters so then he said maybe they had trouble finding you house. He said he would re-schedule, however, this is the 2nd and possibly 3rd time in the last few years the same thing happened with the same excuses. I said I did not want to re-schedule until someone from management calls me. I did miss a call at 7:36am the next day and another from Jason at 10:40am who said he woudl call right back. No such call and then the invoice for work never done. I do not suspect any foul play just poor management and an out of control company. I have the pictures with dates and times to back up my complaint but unfo"

  • Add downspout extension at the end. You can also add an additional downspout to the end of the “elbow” as a way to extend the water further out into your yard. Some hardware stores sell downspouts with a flexible extension that you can maneuver around your yard.

The above alternatives are great options if your gutters are above a slab foundation that you wouldn’t want to dig up. One downside to these methods is if your yard slopes back upwards to your home, then the water won’t actually flow away. In which case, burying your downspouts if the best option to avoid flooding and water damage to your home.

While not required for aluminum gutters, most people find gutter guards worth it because gutter guards can help preserve the life span of new gutters by preventing buildup and debris that can cause clogs. Gutter guards can be made of plastic, stainless steel, or aluminum. The important thing to know about gutter guards is that they are not meant to replace routine cleaning and maintenance. However, they do provide one of the best ways to prevent water damage.
