"Luke is extremely professional and the service that he provided was timely and well done. He communicates well and we always knew when our work was going to start and finish. Afterwards he communicated with us concerning the job and whether or not we had any concerns or were pleased with the job. If we had had some issues he would have immediately come to fix them but we were very satisfied with the job. I would recommend Luke’s service to anybody."

How can I explain to you what I believe to be my very best experience
with a contractor ever. I could just say simply Freedom Construction was great,
but that just would not really say anything about the person which, is what Freedom
Construction is really about, after all.

I met Nick and Misty at a home and garden show in Delta CO, both
were very pleasant and so were there than 3 kids that scurried around the table
that morning. I was interested in a few windows for two baths in my home that apparently
the original builder didn?t think were all the necessary. After spending two
year having to turn on lights each time I went in to these rooms, I decided to
put in some windows.

Having lived in Montrose CO I have used other vendors and my
satisfaction was way below average on their services. I spoke to Nick and
picked up his literature and told him that I would be back. I visited other vendors
that morning, but I kept getting the feeling that I need to try a new person instead
of just using the same old contractor, because they were who always did the
work here in the valley. So I gave Nick a shot.

The first time Nick came to my home to installed the windows
for the baths, He did just a great job and we became friend immediately, he was
professional and easy to work with and just a good person. He allowed me to do
the work I wanted to save a few dollars, no pressure was applied.

This first experience prompted me to change all the windows
in my home, as the one that were originally installed were not very good
quality. I called Nick again and he not only provided me quality widows and a
reasonable price, but also installed them in the appointed time, no surprises.

The second experience was even better than the first, as now
I got to meet his wife Misty and get to know him and her and the now 5 kids as
a family. It was a real joy meeting a genuine group of Americans who work hard,
do good work, and can be trusted to complete the job in a timely manner.

The next job I had Freedom do for me was to build storage
units in my garage, I had three huge cabinets built with doors, to store  all of Life?s stuff in, and not fear the
dirty garage syndrome. Again, in the winter the job was completed on time and
the quality was excellent.

Once more, the following year, I used Freedom Construction
to build a Sunroom onto my home. I had this plan in my heads and drew it up and
Nick took it from the pencil plan I made and turned it into a room that I use
every single day of the year. Again, doing exactly what you would expect of a
professional builder, but with the attitude of a friend.

I will use them again, and again....

I cannot say in the short space available what Nick and
Family mean to me?I trust them with my home and everything I own. I know I can
leave them alone at my house no fear or worries, let them to do what they need
and report to me.

My reason for using Freedom Construction is simple, it is
that I find the most important attribute, at least to me, in a contractors is,
TRUST. NICK and Freedom Construction, after 8 years and 6 kids, they are a
second family to me.

He deserves your business; He is a real American and a real
human. Trust him, he will do his best.

If you don?t think so, call me"

Door Repair questions, answered by experts

Regular maintenance of patio doors can keep them working and looking their best for years to come. Cleaning tracks and rollers, replacing damaged or worn weatherstripping, and routinely checking the door’s alignment can extend the life of your patio doors. Exercising care while using the doors can also keep them in good condition; avoid slamming doors shut, exerting heavy pressure against them, or forcing the latch mechanisms.

Yes, you can clean door hinges with vinegar. The cleaner your door hinges are, the less likely they are to cause that annoying squeaking sound. Simply fill a container with equal parts water and vinegar, dip a microfiber cloth in the mixture, and use it to clean the hinges. You can do this while the hinges are connected or remove them, and wash them piece by piece.

To tighten a doorknob without visible screws, you first need to remove the rose mounting plate, which is a decorative covering that hides the mounting bolts. You might need to loosen a set screw to get this off, but others just pry off. Once you pull it off, release the lever underneath, and your knob and mounting plate should come fully off, revealing the mounting bolts. Tighten these before reassembling.

You put shims between the three-sided frame to which the door hinges are attached and the framing of the rough wall opening. Using shims like this will center your door in the wall opening and allows you to make small adjustments to get your door plumb and level for smooth operation. Your shims and the gap they fill will be covered when you install door trim, so don’t worry too much about the appearance.

The vast majority of hinges are symmetrical, and either side of the hinge can go on the door or the frame. Occasionally, you'll find a hinge specifically made for right or left-handed doors with different attachment hardware or larger plates on one side. In most cases, the large side of the hinge goes on the frame.

It is possible to install hinges backward, so be careful when placing them. Position the hinge so that the hinge pin faces the direction the door will swing. For example, if you're standing on the side the door will open into, the pin should be visible. Be extra careful when installing exterior doors, as placing the hinges on the outside for an outward-facing door makes your home much easier to break into.
