Our dryer vent was not working properly. The airflow was very low. We hired another company to clean it, but by the time they were done, there was no airflow at all. Meg and I thought there was something wrong with our dryer vent pipe and we were envisioning having to tear out sheet rock, etc. to find and repair the problem. We went to an Arizona Cardinals football game last Sunday and I just happened to sit next to a plumber visiting from Canada! We talked and he told me I should hire another company to try to clean out the vent again. So, I went on Angie's List and found Carson's Power Vac. They came the next day and found and cleared a blockage. We are so happy. The price was very reasonable and their service was excellent. Thank you, Carson's.

The crew arrive early and were polite. I arrived about the same time to watch them lower a gas powered vacuum into my front yard. The whole area then reeked of gasoline and it wasn't even turned on. Then I smelled the hoses they were going to be dragging through my new house -- the ones Chris' crew said were the "clean ones" and they reeked of gasoline. I am sensitive to smells, but I am sure my neighbors would have been complaining after they powered that noxious gas vacuum up. The whole point is cleanliness - not adding to the problem. Chris charged me $90 - half of their total quote for a "service call".

When our clothes dryer started running really hot we checked the owner's manual and learned that the most likely culprit was a clogged vent. So I climbed upon the roof; finding a fair amount of lint accumulated there and an unimpressive air flow, I figured it was time to call in a professional. (Since we've only owned the house for a year, we have no idea when the last time the dryer vent had been cleaned--if ever.) After checking Angie's List I called Carson's Power Vac; they said they could come out the very next day, and gave me a one-hour window. Not only were they on time, they arrived early--all three of them! They unlimbered their equipment, climbed up on the roof, and in less than 30 minutes later the job was done. They also evaluated the vent cap, said it was fine, and re-secured it (I had had to remove one attachment in order to stick my hand inside to remove lint). The team reported that airflow from the dryer vent had increased from the initial 29% to an impressive 92% after cleaning. What a pleasant experience watching efficient professionals and all around nice guys at work. I can recommend them wholeheartedly for duct cleaning.
