"DO NOT USE CLANCY! Worst experience I have ever had working with a contractor. He lied to us for months on end, misused and mismanaged our money and then wanted another $20k to continue work he should have already done. He neglected to pay his subcontractors who were then contacting my family to try and get ahold of him to get paid. The work he did do was poor quality or not done at all. We have been informed from subcontractors that he was purposely asking for lower quality products at a lower cost so he could increase his profit, despite our requests for mid-grade products. We cut our losses and fired him. "

"After the inspection was performed, Vernon, call me right away. He informed me of the extent of the foundation damage , and what was the root cause of it. The house was recently flipped, and his photos showed the poor quality of workmanship by the company, heat ducting smashed closed, no pads for blocking if the floor beams, a portion of the crawl space was so narrow, it would only be able to be accessed from the top side.He also provided me with a verbal ball park estamate on what it would take to correct these problems."

No, builders and general contractors don’t expect tips. In fact, some companies may prohibit their employees from accepting client tips. A prefab, or prefabricated garage, requires far less construction work than one with a foundation and frame, but it’s not nearly as desirable and may not be a worthwhile option. A prefabricated garage won’t be as durable or long-lasting, and it doesn’t provide the same protection for your belongings and vehicles. Building your own garage can save up to 70% of the project cost, or $10,500 on average. However, we don’t advise a total DIY because it can be incredibly dangerous. You can save money by helping out with some aspects, like installing siding or building interior shelving, but you should at least leave planning, foundation work, framing, roofing, and any electrical or plumbing work to professionals.
