"Jason was great. I need a irrigation line fixed in our HOA. The whole subdivision was without water until the broken pipe was fixed. I contacted him during the holiday weekend. He had me send him some pictures of the problem to see what he would have to do. We made plans to meet me the next day and he got right to work taking the broken pipe out. He got all the parts needed and was great at communicating with me on the project. I was at work and he would text me pictures and ask questions if it looked ok to me. He did an amazing job and I would recommend him to anyone else that needs his services. I am going to use him on any other plumbing issues that I have in the future."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.

For disposal clogs with standing water, use a sink plunger and place it over the garbage disposal drain. Push the sink plunger up and down the drain about six to eight times before lifting. If the sink drains, the clogged food particles are dislodged from the drain. If there’s still standing water, repeat the steps until the standing water clears out.

In the majority of cases, homeowners insurance will not cover a main sewer line root clog. The reason is that most insurance companies consider tree root damage to sewer lines as common wear and tear, which is also preventable. However, you may be able to buy optional add-on coverage, such as "service line coverage" or "sewer line endorsements," that would protect against root damage to your sewer line.

Inspect regularly for clogs, clean drain lines, and ensure grading directs water away from the foundation.
