"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We HIGHLY recommend Juniors Hardwood Floors! We had a repair, refinish and new install job and are very happy with the results. It's rare to find a company that has the craftsmanship to repair and match flooring. EVERY other company that we reached out to wanted to tear out and install new flooring....I believe it was because it is difficult to repair and match. Juniors flooring did just that and it is beautiful! We would get a text with their ETA each day and when we needed them to return for any reason, it was no problem at all. Again, we highly recommend them!"

"I'm very impressed with this company! They replaced carpet and old baseboard in a bedroom with LVP and new baseboard they stained and cut. Their work and work ethics were meticulous! "Extremely well. The schedule for the work was reasonable and each step of that schedule was completed in a timely manner. Materials were delivered as scheduled and carefully placed in my home. Baseboard molding and bannister spindles were removed, marked for identification and stored. The new flooring was installed and sanded. Todd expertly helped in the choice of stain color. When the finishing steps were completed and the molding and spindles replaced, the result was fantastic! The workmanship is top notch and the house looks terrific. I will not hesitate to use Juxtaposition Hardwood for any future flooring needs."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for small areas. Professional installation ensures proper stretching and a polished finish.

The lifespan of tile flooring can vary significantly based on the material and maintenance. Generally, tile flooring can last anywhere from 10 to 30 years, but high-quality, well-maintained ceramic tile can last 75 to 100 years. To achieve a longer lifespan, you should clean the tiles and grout regularly, reseal the grout annually, keep the floor dry, and avoid placing extremely heavy items on it to prevent cracking. Choosing a high-quality tile (Grade 1) will also contribute to its longevity.

Some root cellars are made with concrete, but a dirt floor may be better for your crops' longevity. Dirt can help maintain an appropriate temperature and humidity level, while the concrete might suck up all the moisture. Dirt floors can also bring down the overall cost of your root cellar. But, if you’re going with a dirt floor, make sure you properly insulate between your house and the root cellar.

Sheet vinyl is among the most affordable and durable flooring options, with prices as low as $0.50 per square foot and a lifespan of 10 to 20 years. Other inexpensive and durable choices include standard vinyl plank ($2 to $7 per square foot), which mimics wood or stone and is great for high-traffic areas. Laminate flooring ($1 to $6 per square foot), linoleum, carpeting, and concrete can also be cost-effective options, with prices starting around $2 per square foot.

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.
