"Isaac and his crew took down a 45 foot tall cottonwood tree in our backyard. This required cutting it down in sections so as not to damage the house and caring the pieces along the side of the house out of the street. They worked in the snow for three days to get this done and weâ re very careful and meticulous with the cleanup. It was very hard work and he charged a very reasonable price. He was also very good working with my neighbors to make sure they didnâ t have any concerns. Iâ m having them do more work for me in the spring."

"I have hired Chris for my home and business. He did a wonderful job both times! He has also helped with other maintenance projects. He communicates well, follows through on what he says and does great work. I would hire him again!"

"Awesom, David showed up, had to deal with some issues with his supplier (not his issue) but never lost a good get it done attitude. I am by far not a handy person, he was able to break down what he was doing in a way that even I felt an understanding of it. I bough some other fencing products from him that I am going to DIY, he walked me threw it and took the time to explain how and what to expect. He is a good person that takes great pride in his work, and it truly does show. I, personally will recommend him to anyone and everyone and I will utilize his derive in the future as I have some other fencing stuff I need done."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The most common height of a front yard fence is around 3 feet high, but it can vary depending on your zoning laws. If your fence is meant to create privacy, something closer to 6 feet or higher will do the trick. Most of the time, the highest fence you’ll see is 8 feet tall.

You can buy wrought iron fencing from a trusted fence installation company near you. You could also opt to buy it privately from a homeowner who is interested in recycling their own wrought iron materials. Manufacturers stopped mass production of wrought iron as steel became more affordable to produce, so you likely won't find it in any local big box stores.

Galvanized metal, vinyl, and composite fences are known to be the longest-lasting options, often surviving for over 30 years with proper care. Metal fences, including galvanized chain link and aluminum, can look great for decades because the galvanization process adds a protective coating that resists weather and pests. Similarly, vinyl and composite materials are resistant to pests and can withstand harsh weather for many years. In comparison, a typical wood fence lasts about 15 years, and a standard vinyl fence has a lifespan of 20 to 30 years.

Removing fence posts that are set in concrete is something you can't do by hand. You will need an excavator, a strong post-puller, or a jackhammer. If you plan on recycling the concrete base, you may be able to cut the post out with a jackhammer and then set the new post in the existing base. However, it's usually better to remove both the fence post and concrete together. Due to the weight of concrete, you will need a hydraulic removal tool.

You can weather a new wood fence by applying vinegar with steel wool as a way to fade some of the coloring. You may also find it easier to stain your entire fence a new color instead of trying to get newer fence boards to match an older one.
