"Very amazing results! Far better than hoped for, even better results than we were told to expect! Water now drains AWAY from the foundation, and it was done in less than a day!"

"Alan and his crew were great to work with! They took out my old driveway and sidewalk next to our house and replaced them with a nice new one this fall (2023). They listened to my specific requests regarding grading and drainage in order to fix some of the issues with the old driveway. These issues were addressed adequately and the new driveway drains much better. They did the whole project in two days. We love our new driveway! Their price was very competitive and I was happy to be able to support a small, local business. I highly recommend them!"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

A sump pump is one of the most common ways to get excess moisture out of your home, but it’s not the only way. If your home doesn't have a sump pump, other options to get excess water out of the basement include trash pumps, submersible pumps, service pumps, and hand-crank pumps. However, it’s worth calling a pro in to assess your situation and potentially install a sump pump for you.

Basement toilets don’t always need a pump. However, it is the most common setup because plumbing systems use gravity to move waste away from the home. Basement toilets often sit below the home’s main sewage system, and installing a sewage ejector pump pushes the wastewater and sewage up to the main sewer line. Alternatively, you can use an upflush or macerator toilet that breaks down the waste and pushes it straight to the main sewer line rather than via a sewer line from the bathroom.

Yes, many contractors offer warranties for their work. Confirm terms before starting the project.

Statistics show that 98% of basements will experience some form of water damage over time. However, that doesn’t mean all basements will experience severe flooding. The best way to prevent a water-damaged basement is to keep up with home maintenance and have proper drainage installed outside your home to direct water away from the foundation. You can also consider building a flood wall around the house if you live in a flood-prone area.

There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.
