"This company has improved my landscape so much. In addition to weekly mowing and snow removal when necessary, They helped me plant a zero-scape garden and set up the drip system for that. They also helped me select and place some large boulders in an area to protect from vehicular damage on a corner lot. Always friendly and eager to help me with anything I need. Great ideas and very responsive to me anytime. This company is a good one!!!!!"

"The finished work from Archys Lawn Care looks absolutely fantastic. Their team was efficient, hardworking, and completed every task we requested without hesitation. The results exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear they take pride in their craft. That said, we did experience a hiccup with communication. On the originally scheduled day for the project, the crew didn’t show up—and there was no call or message to explain the delay. It took multiple attempts reaching out through Angi before I finally got a response, and the project was rescheduled for the following day. While the lack of communication was frustrating, I’m ultimately very happy with the quality of the work. If they can improve their responsiveness, they’d easily be a five-star service."

"I recommend Nature’s Lawn Care to anyone I know! I’ve been using this company since 2022 and because of them my home won “home of the week” many times by my HOA. Some services I’ve had done is: lawn mowing, changing sprinkler heads, weed control and spring clean up. They offer more services as well. If you are looking for a company that is reasonably priced and offer great results, I recommend Nature’s Lawn Care."

Small jobs welcome

"Finding a reliable landscaping expert can be overwhelming with so many options and no guarantee of results. We needed someone to clear overgrown weeds, remove unwanted trees, and lay fabric and mulch, a daunting task. I found Flores Construction on Angi and quickly requested a quote. Jose called right away, came out for a walk-through, and gave clear recommendations based on our goals and pricing. He provided a prompt, detailed quote and scheduled the work without delay. Jose and his team finished everything in just three days, work that would’ve taken my husband and me over a month. Throughout the process, Jose explained each step, made sure our expectations were met, and adjusted pricing fairly when unexpected tasks came up. I was able to go about my day normally and know they were doing good work. We were extremely pleased with Jose and Flores Construction. Knowing they handle more than landscaping means we’ll definitely call them for future projects. Highly recommend!"

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

You should add 1 to 4 inches of mulch, depending on your garden type and needs. Keep in mind that no amount of mulch can completely prevent weeds, but a heavier coverage (closer to 4 inches) can suppress weeds enough that you are only seeing them sprout every few weeks. Finer mulch prevents weeds more effectively than large mulch, so if you’re using mulched leaves or shredded bark, 1 to 2 inches will likely suffice, while 3 to 4 inches is best for larger mulch, like bark chips or straw.

Each type of weed comes with its own control methods, but stopping the seed spread is the first step. Grazing, mowing, and hand pulling can slow the invasion. In some cases, selective herbicide is necessary to stop a persistent weed from overtaking an area.

Very carefully. You should be cautious when using any of the above methods, as any one of them could lead to you accidentally killing desired grasses and plants. However, there are selective herbicides that can target certain plants over others. Look for a product that only affects the type of weeds you want to eliminate and spares the plants you want to keep.

Due to its slow growth, Bahia grass does not generally take over weeds. In fact, the opposite can be true. Young Bahia grass is susceptible to being taken over by weeds.

Likewise, in the cool season, Bahia grass goes into a dormant state that can allow weeds that thrive in early spring to get the upper hand. If you want to prevent weeds from taking over your yard, remove them by hand or apply a Bahia grass-friendly pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn before weeds have a chance to appear.

Like sugar, the common household staple baking soda has uses in the yard. Baking soda boosts your plants to resist pests, fungal growth, and more. So, baking soda is good for your plants in certain instances, but exercise caution, as using too much could kill your plants. It’s great for hunting for pesky weeds, but not great for tending to a sensitive garden.
