Customers say: True professional
"Mr. Medeiros was very easy to talk to and exchange ideas. He communicated well - in person and online - and his written work was well laid out. His references were easy to get in touch with and answered all of our questions. We, in the end, went with another architect, for various small reasons. None of which were because we felt that Mr. Medeiros wouldn't provide all that we needed. It was a tough decision. If you are looking for an architect that will design your dream project thoroughly and professionally, you should take the time to meet with Mr. Medeiros."

Customers say: Quality work
"Carl is the best general contractor I've worked with. His communication is excellent, he does what he says, and the quality of his work is fantastic. Carl oversaw and completed a total remodel of our guest room bathroom, and an extensive renovation of an old pool house into a guest house. Everything except the foundation and some studs on the pool house were redone, including floor joists, roof, stucco, remodeling of floor plan, kitchen, bathroom, living room, plumbing & electrical. The whole 9 yards. It was a pretty high-end remodel with custom cabinets, ceramic mock-hardwood floors, granite countertops, and high end doors/fixtures. The building now looks and feels brand new, and the craftsmanship is superb. The projects came in within the contingency budget. There were a few unsurprising and reasonable additions to the original budget, such as redoing the floor joists as they were rotted out. One of the best things about working with Carl is he thought through so many of the elements that I wouldn't have. He thinks through his projects. Carl doesn't take shortcuts, and we know our finished guest cottage is going to last many, many years. We are very pleased and will be using Carl on future projects as well."

"James M and Eric R helped us with everything they could but we just couldn't get it in our budget. These two gentlemen helped us out and I appreciate it but if I come to a point where i can fit this project in on my budget I'd definitely call DaBella. Thank you guys for EVERYTHING you guys did."

"The project was to remove old Pella windows and install new Hurricane/Impact rated heavy duty Pella windows, exterior French doors and patio glass doors. The guys created a custom scaffolding system to safely install a 4 high and 4 wide window array in a 3 sided staircase. Replace patio doors etc through out the 11,000sqft house in Aspen. The project was flawless. removal & installation went really smooth and faster the I thought it would because of the weight of the doors & windows. The doors open and function much better than original ones. Thank You Rosendo & Amador"

"I couldn’t be happier with my bathroom remodel! From the very beginning, the team was professional, communicative, and truly listened to what I wanted. They paid attention to every detail and made sure the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The quality of the workmanship is amazing — everything looks beautiful, clean, and professionally done. They stayed on schedule, kept the workspace tidy, and treated my home with respect the whole time. What really stood out was how much pride they take in their work and how committed they were to making sure I loved the final result. My new bathroom honestly feels like a spa, and I’ve already received so many compliments. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality remodeling work. Thank you for transforming my space!"

The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost to enclose a patio to create a sunroom is around $5,000, and prices generally range from $3,000 up to $10,000. The price you pay will depend on the state of your patio and whether it needs repairs or additional structural support, the quality of the materials you choose, the size of your patio, and whether you plan to run utilities into and finish the sunroom. The price for a fully finished patio enclosure could run up to around $20,000, while you might pay just $2,500 for a screened-in porch.
In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.
