"Ulises delivered exactly what I was looking for. He gave a very fair quote, very quickly. He was honest and upfront about any difficulties in the project and there were no hidden fees. I live in a historic home in Golden and he knew all of the historical society rules in addition to local zoning rules. He built a beautiful white picket fence with arbor in the front, a 6 foot privacy fence in the back (with a crazy number of gates), scraped my top-soil with 1000s of weed seeds, and placed 30 cubit yards of compost. This has truly elevated my house, and I can’t wait to do the fun part of planting. He’s also really nice and easy to get along with. I’ll definitely be using him for other projects. Update; then I hired him to install sprinklers, apply flagstone patio, flagstone walkway, and stone firepit with gas line."

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"We liked our interior design plan that we received , but it just took a long time to get the final plan.  She had told us in the beginning that she had gotten a big response to that deal.

"DESIGNER - BUILDING PROJECT: Connie helped me with a full redesign of my Manitou Springs home. It is a smaller home that we optimized space to full utilization, opened it up to make it seem larger and she added unique touches in kitchens and bathrooms which always get great comments from the visitor. This included every from design, layout, helping with the general contractor, replacement appliances, a heating system using mini-split vs. traditional forced air, instant hot water heater, etc. Her unique view of colors and looks will give you something different from your typical looks so your place looks special. Professional, caring, and timely. Would recommend for any project. INTERIOR DECORATOR PROJECT: Redesigned and modernized a 1950s ranch in Cripple Creek. Great ideas on space design, bathroom, and kitchen redesigns. Color choices inside and outside were wonderful. Coordinated with GC on major work and performed finish work, painting, and room layouts. Timely, responsive, and great customer service. STAGE A HOME PROJECT: Staged my Highlands Ranch Townhome including some minor updates like painting and tile updates. I got a top dollar on sale. My realtor and people looking at the house left great feedback. You will get your moneys worth."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.

Simple repairs like replacing bulbs can be DIY projects, but professionals should handle significant electrical repairs to ensure safety and compliance with electrical standards.

The easiest and best way to power your outdoor lights is with the use of outdoor outlets. Most building codes now require exterior outlets in homes, so you likely already have outdoor outlets available to plug into. However, you can have these outlets installed if your space doesn’t currently include them.

Flickering lights, intermittent outages, or physical damage to fixtures signal immediate repair to avoid electrical hazards.
