"Isaac is very thorough and a pleasure to have work on our maintenance projects. He pays attention to the details and his workmanship is superb. We had him upgrade our kitchen faucet and install a new Bosch dishwasher. He did very good work. We’ll be having him back to do more upgrades and remodeling."

"The crew was timely, respectful, and conscious of my belongings. The appearance of the job is excellent. We have not had our heavy rains yet so I can't comment on how well the water is being contained, but, I believe that they did what was called for. I expect that the work they did will cure the problem. I should know in about month."

"Fantastic! Installers were professional, on time even after the snow storm. Friendly. I wanted to fix them lunch but...they were only there to install my tub. Worth the investment. I agree with the 5.0 ratings listed on this review."

"Our main water line was leaking with hardly any pressure to our house. Upon calling Holmes Excavation the Friday before Christmas, they were up at our house within 90 minutes. After agreeing to their services, they arranged for the locate services for electric, gas, and phone before the end of the day and before the weekend to prepare for their work starting on Monday. Our water service was restored by the end of the day on Monday, and they finished backfilling the next day--2 days before Christmas! While their equipment was still at our house, my wife asked if they could pull out some nasty roots from her garden. They did so without hesitation and I was able to cross that off of my "to do" list and saving my back for another project. Thank you to all involved--Bill, Mark, Rob, Gerado (sp?), Jose and anyone else I may have missed!"

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need.
