"After a bit of a delay, we got the backyard patio replaced. Dhillon himself did the first day's work of breaking up the old concrete by himself. He did pretty good--the boss isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. The rest of the crew came in Tuesday and Wednesday and finished breaking things apart. Concrete was just poured (Friday) and it looks GREAT!!! The crew and especialy the foreman were very nice and polite. They were exceedingly careful, especially around th sewer line and gas and water meters. I had a couple questions and they were answered fully and without any condescension at all. I never felt he was "talking down to a female". They thoroughly cleaned up the area. I would unhesitantly recommend Dhillon and his crew."

Concrete Finishing questions, answered by experts

You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

You can’t paint a foundation like you would the walls in your home; there are a few extra important steps to take. Instead of just busting out the paint, you should clean the surface and fix any impurities before grabbing the brush. Using a paint sprayer to apply sealant and primer will ensure you have the perfect canvas to apply your chosen paint color.

Yes, you should seal your exposed aggregate concrete to keep it protected from the elements and reduce the risk of cracking and concrete spalling. You’ll need to invest in the cost of resealing your concrete about every three years to keep it in good condition. Unsealed exposed aggregate concrete is susceptible to water damage, stains, chips, cracks, and abrasion. Sealers are available in various finishes and levels of gloss. Outdoor exposed aggregate concrete should be sealed with a non-yellowing, UV-resistant sealer to preserve the look of the finish.
