"Best concrete work and the price was unbeatable!!!! I was VERY HAPPY with the work done! I had a single car driveway poured, And they Matched the existing driveway! They poured and 30x12 patio pad and a 12x14 pad for a shed. All the work looked amazing and WAY better than I expected! I have seen â professional jobsâ that did not measure up to what I got! And then end product! Couldnâ t be happier! Thank You! So happy!"

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Fading color, visible cracks, or water pooling signal the need for sealing to prevent further damage.

To extend the lifespan of an asphalt surface, sealcoat it every 2-3 years, repair cracks promptly, and clean it regularly to remove debris.

Though they may look similar, tar and bitumen come from different sources. Bitumen is a petroleum product—extracted during crude oil refining—and is mostly made up of hydrocarbons. Tar comes from burning down organic materials like coal or wood. Bitumen is strictly oil-based, while tar is a mix of compounds from natural sources. Both are used as binders in paving; however, bitumen is the standard for today’s asphalt. Tar use has mostly faded out of road construction.

In general, crack fillers last for about two years on average. That timeline can be shorter if you have extremely harsh winters or longer if you live in a mild climate. Luckily, this product is pretty affordable at the hardware store (about $10 to $30) and easy to DIY, so redoing it every few years shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet.
