"Joshua is great! I purchased the toilets at Home Depot and arranged for Joshua to pick them up. Well HD Lancaster location only had two of the HE toilets that I wanted, so the 3rd toilet was picked up in the HD Palmdale store. Joshua did all this with pleasure. "RM concrete was great, they were quick and reasonably priced as well as licensed and bonded. They extended my driveway making it 15 ft wider and poured a concrete walk around my home. They are very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, any issues I had they fixed no questions asked they also guarantee there work for a year. All around they were great. Visible cracks, scaling, flaking, and uneven surfaces indicate a bad concrete job. Additional signs vary depending on the project. You may notice poor drainage or even exposed rebar. Quality issues result from using the wrong concrete, rushing the work, or inexperienced workers completing the job.

Mix the resurfacer into a sticky mixture. The consistency should look like mashed potatoes. Use a squeegee to push the resurfacer across the pitted area and smoothen the surface with a cement trowel flush. Make sure you protect any expansion joints with a weather strip. Alternatively, cut out any resurfacer that touched the joint once the mixture begins to harden.

You have different options depending on the scale of repair needed. If you are repairing minor cracks that are between ¼ inch to 1.5 inch wide and less than half an inch deep, a self-leveling polyurethane sealant would be your best choice. Polyurethane sealants dry to the touch within one to two hours. Since they come in a tube applier, you also have the option to complete the repair without emptying out your garage.

Costs range from $500 to $2,500, depending on the area size and extent of damage.

Whether resurfacing concrete is worth the cost depends on the condition of the underlying slab. Resurfacing can be a good option if the concrete is in decent condition with only minor issues like standard wear and tear, small cracks, chips, or discoloration. In these cases, resurfacing adds a protective layer that can extend the concrete's lifespan without the high cost of a full replacement.

However, if the concrete has significant damage—such as deep cracks, peeling, sinking, or is broken up—resurfacing may not be worth it. The new overlay is only as good as the concrete beneath it, and existing problems like peeling and cracks are likely to show through the new surface. In situations with severe damage, replacing the entire slab is often more cost-effective in the long run and will yield a better result.
