"We hired Emmanuel and his crew to demo our shower/tub and install new tile and fixtures. He literally went above and beyond! The quality of his craftsmanship is hard to find. He finished the job in less than 4 days. Always showed up on time and he even went the extra mile by floating the nearby wall that a previous contractor had messed up and installing a dimmer switch (which we didn’t ask for- but was a very nice surprise!). We already got a quote for our son’s shower and will absolutely be hiring him for our other two showers. You will not regret hiring Emmanuel for your remodel needs!"

Just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should. You can apply new tile over existing tile in a bathroom, but the new tile may not look great if you lay it over worn, cracked, or uneven tiles. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

Thinset mortar is the best adhesive for ceramic tiles on concrete. It is easy to work with and has a slower dry time than mastic or epoxy mortars. This longer dry time gives the installer more time to adjust tiles, which is especially useful for DIYers who may not have tile installation experience. It can also be built up to help level any depressions or gaps in the concrete subfloor.
