"my guy was on top of getting the job, he was the first one to answer my call for a window cleaner. He came at 8:00am 2 days later and did a fantastic job washing the window's and the screens. I would definitely recommend Boyd’s window cleaning."

Small jobs welcome

"Will and the team were awesome! They did a great job washing our windows and pressure washing our walkways, and neither had been cleaned in 5 years. Will has an infectious above-and-beyond entrepreneurial spirit and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and recommend them to friends."

"For context, I am a relatively young homeowner. Blue Ocean Window Cleaning was friendly, solved my clogged gutter issue extremely quickly, and taught me what to do to maintain my gutters in the future. Highly recommended!"

"They did a good job cleaning our windows. The screens are ok and the tracks were not cleaned well. They left scuff marks on the walls and our sliding screen door does not slide as well as it did prior. They did not put our furniture back in it is right place. They arrived 30 minutes early which would have been fine if I had known (they texted at 7 am while I was in the shower to let me know they would be there soon when I was expecting them at 8 am). They did not have soap so we had to give them dish soap to use. All in all the windows look good, the screens are ok and the tracks are not very clean. We have cleaned the scuff marks off the walls and put the furniture back where it goes and have gotten the sliding door screen working a little better. All in all an ok (not great) experience."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

All of the things you use to help you get clean can leave your shower door looking dirty. Water can leave mineral deposits as well as unsightly spots when drops of water dry on the glass. Soap and shampoo can cause build-up and residue that leaves a layer of soap scum in your shower, which then attracts dirt. Mold and mildew can also contribute to dirty shower doors; these fast-growing organisms thrive in areas with poor air circulation, damp conditions, and residue from things like soap and shampoo.

Solar screens are low-maintenance but benefit from occasional cleaning with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or pressure washing, as these can damage the mesh. Inspect screens annually for tears or loose frames to maintain performance. In dusty or coastal areas, more frequent cleaning may be necessary to prevent buildup.

Generally speaking, you should clean your windows and any associated fixtures and treatments every six months. Otherwise, clean them as needed to keep everything running smoothly. If you live in a part of the country with especially hard water, you may have to clean them three or four times per year, and the same goes for areas where insects, pollen, dirt, and other debris can soil your windows and potentially cause issues with the moving parts.

Regular cleaning, non-abrasive cleaners, and scheduling professional services every few months help maintain clarity and shine.

Use of harnesses and ladders ensures safe roof access.
