And the room is much cooler in lesser heat as well. Hall's price beat the competition (another highly rated and often reviewed Angie's list contractor) by a good measure - so it is definitely worth getting multiple quotes and Hall's is really a winning company. I apologize in advance for the long review but I think it will ultimately save you time (and money). A good friend of ours recommended Hall?s Window Center to my wife for their selection and service. We are fairly new home owners so cost is a big factor. I must say I had a bit of sticker shock when I left Hall?s showroom. ?You want how much for window coverings? Really?!? To be clear, and fair to Hall?s, most of the shades or ?duettes? we picked out were energy efficient and blacked out all of the light. Additionally, when fully closed, the tops can be lowered. This is a key feature in our dining room and bedrooms because we want to let light in and retain privacy. Okay- so now it was time to do my homework. I made my rounds and found Costco and 3-Day Blinds all featured the same (or so I thought) products for much less. I called Hall?s back and asked if they would do any price matching. I spoke with Mario. He was very patient but assured me that their prices are very competitive and that the products I was researching were likely inferior to those that we had picked out in the showroom. It was a classic apples to oranges scenario. Again, wanting to see this for my own eyes, I went back to the other locations and had them price out our selections. Wow, did I feel? well, dumb. The prices at the other locations increased dramatically. Each product was only a few dollars less than quoted prices form Hall?s. Armed with this information, I had to reconsider. I could choose to measure my own blinds and have them installed by a subcontractor hired by a retail chain store or a warehouse store where I also buy tires, tvs and vodka; or, I could have a very reputable ?Window Center? perform the measurements and do the installation. Finally, this seemed like an easy decision. And now I am here to write it was definitively the correct decision. Hall?s was fantastic. Their sales person Doni came out to our home (on a Saturday no less) and helped us pick the right colors to compliment each of our rooms. She also took measurements for us. Within a very short time (maybe a week?), Hall?s had scheduled our installer Stan to perform the install. Due to our busy schedules, we had to leave Stan to fend for himself after some brief instructions on what went where. I would also do a disservice to Hall?s and Stan to not mention in our brief time together he might be the most pleasant and enjoyable person we have ever had perform work in our home. Not only did Stan do a very professional job with all of our shade installations, he also removed, collected and neatly stacked our old cheap blinds. There was zero mess and we could not be happier with the finished product. The one drawback from all of this is the ribbing I get from my wife when she constantly reminds how ?I told you Hall?s was the place to go?. And to be honest, I don?t mind because the Hall?s ?experience? was worth every penny and then some. It is easy to see why they have been in business for over 30 years and I have zero hesitation recommending them or taking the time to write this review. In fact, after revisiting their showroom to thank them- we just ordered a new front door. That experience has been equally great thus far and I will follow-up with another review once it is installed

"The salesperson had a great selection of flooring, and he was able to arrange financing immediately. They were a bit higher, and we got another quote, but the quality was way below what Empire offered, and the services the promised were not as complete. The crew came in and got three rooms done by noon. We have 2 dogs, and so far the floor is holding up to their paws and activities.

"They are a retail shop. I thought the price was expensive. The quality was really good, but I do have a problem with the cord lock. They are guaranteed for seven years, so they ordered the wrong part. The right part has been ordered, so I'm waiting on that. They are taking kind of a long time.
They were responsive, it's just taking a long time. I had to schedule them three times.
I would recommend them. The people that came out were really great. They were the ones that sold it to me and helped me make the decisions. They were really good. Where I have problems is with the independent contractor that works for 3 Day Blinds; the one that does the repair. The installer was really good. He gave me lots of tips about the installation.

"Fantastic, I could not recommend this company more, Lon was very attentive to what I was saying during our walk through so he could find the right solution to our problem. We replaced approx 30% of the T-11 siding on my house in Antelope, replaced all the trim affected by dry rot and replaced the windows/slider. As they were sealing the new windows we could already tell the difference in the noise and how warm the sun felt through the glass. Brian was the lead installer for the windows and Ken for the siding project and they extremely knowledgeable and were fine with working around our 3 big dogs who had to go outside for bathroom breaks.

"I called the owner/operator, Jon Fox of Fox's Draperies to schedule an appointment to repair or replace the overhead rail track that broke over the weekend. The track was 10 years old so Jon recommended that I replace it. He had the part I needed in stock and scheduled an appointment the same day! Frank arrived on time and quickly took down the track and drapes and replaced it with a new track with a hand wand verses draw string opening mechanism. Parts and labor came to a very reasonable $175. Excellent customer service and quality job!!

"Had extensive dry rot on exterior of my home. Once dry rot trim was removed, additional damaged areas were discovered. They explained the process and the additional areas that need replacement. Each day, I would receive a written update and discussion so that I would be aware of everything ahead of time. They had to create some custom trim to match existing style. Once all rotted trim and boards were replaced, they painted all exterior trim and replaced boards. Everything blended perfectly. Workers kept everything cleaned up before leaving each day. After pressure washing and painting, everything looks great. Job took 4 days. Very happy with the results.

"I placed an order for 3 tops down bottoms up cordless pleated blackout shades, to replace similar light filtering shades from another company. The shades were reasonably priced, arrived on time and fit correctly. However I'm unimpressed with their overall quality. Three things bother me about the blinds:
1) they are extremely noisy when being raised or lowered
2) they need to be adjusted for level every time they are raised or lowered
3) inside the upper housing, there is a string that appears to move as the blinds are raised or lowered. Since the string rubs against parts in the housing, it is likely it will eventually break.
I don't think I'd buy these again.
