"Joe went above and beyond what I originally asked for, I would highly recommend him to do repairs. He not only fixed the leak and reconnected my valve but repaired my own drip system errors. Prompt arrival and great work"

"I was referred by a family member to Alcantar construction by the amazing concrete work they did at their home. I was interested in removing an old glass patio door and to have a new window installed in my son’s room. Rodrigo and his team said it would not be a problem and were able to take on the project. I had a new window installed in less than a few days. The price was very reasonable, the crew was great and respectful, the communication between Rodrigo and his team was excellent. I am very happy with the new window and am excited for more projects coming up soon. Thank you Alcantar Construction!"

"We had a total of 4 bids from different local licensed landscape contractors. The first thing that attracted us to Elliot's Sprinklers and Landscape was their presentation of their estimated bid proposal for our backyard. Mike Elliot himself emailed me in 48 hours and had a 5 page written estimate with each category highlighted in complete detail. Every aspect from design, square footage and materials being used were priced accordingly. You know they took the time and research to make sure that everything is valued accordingly. Most bids we receive from other landscape contractors were just 1 page and only showed the approximate cost. Elliot's Sprinkler and Landscape are also big in water conservation which was also a big plus for me considering California's current drought crisis.
Mike Elliot worked with the design I had in mind and had many helpful recommendations which I would never have thought of doing. He made the necessary adjustments to stay within my budget. His team of professionals who is led by Jon were all courteous, hardworking and answered all of my questions and made sure I have full understanding how each element works in my backyard. All materials used were top quality. The irrigation system used were all water efficient or has water saving features. Workmanship was nothing but excellent, Mike Elliot sets a high standard and has a keen attention to detail where minor imperfections such as a drip system tubing showing above ground will be corrected. The trees and shrubs that were planted in my backyard not only had good variation but also served a purpose.
One of the most important aspects of backyard landscape that usually gets overlooked at is it's drainage system. A backyard won't function well and can create problems if water can't exit out in the front. When he had some heavy rain a couple of weekends ago, excess rain water were all directed and collected to the 4 drains they had installed. This means that they had planned and graded my soil appropriately where no water will remain stagnant. They even placed 2 drains on my concrete patio.
Elliot's Sprinkler and Landscape stands behind their work and offers 1 year warranty. Dealing with this company is money well spent.

"Nationwide Concrete did an excellent job outside our clinic. They removed the previously existing turf, leveled the area, and laid concrete. I definitely recommend this company for projects."

Patios questions, answered by experts

An Arizona room may or may not count toward your home’s square footage, depending on local regulations and the specifics of the room, but generally does not get included in the total square footage. In many locations, a room needs to be built to the same quality as the rest of the home, have an integrated heating/cooling system, and be habitable year-round to count toward square footage.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

A Florida room is a home addition that has finished walls with windows lining the perimeter, while a screened-in porch, also known as an Arizona room, lacks windows and instead has screens to maintain constant ventilation. Florida rooms provide longer enjoyment throughout the year because they’re closed off and will naturally get heated from the sun, while a screened-in porch will just be the same temperature as the ambient air.

While there is no one size that’s considered best, the sunroom size that’s best for you will come down to the size of your home and how you want to use your sunroom. Smaller sunrooms under 120 square feet provide a nice semi-outdoor sitting area, medium-sized sunrooms between 120 and 200 square feet can house an outdoor dining area and a small area for additional seating, and large sunrooms over 200 square feet can serve multiple purposes and even include an outdoor kitchen.

The cost of winterizing a screened porch can vary depending on the chosen method and the extent of the modifications required. Simple options like installing vinyl panels or using vinyl sheeting tend to be more affordable, while creating a four season room can involve higher costs due to renovation expenses. It's best to consult with professionals or obtain multiple quotes to get an accurate estimate for your specific project.
