"Larry Thornhill & his crew did an absolutely wonderful job on rebuilding our deck. Larry kept us informed on all stages. He set a work schedule for each day & finished the deck on the day he said he would. On budget & on time. Larry also made suggestions for improving our design and the deck is amazing and better than we expected. His crew performed quality workmanship and we are very satisfied."

"My wife and I were very impressed with the work performed by Perfectly Clear.
In the kitchen, they cleaned our stovetop to near brand new condition, well beyond what we expected.  As an added bonus their cleaning resolved a problem with one gas burner not self-lighting (just cleaned the right spot).  Additional kitchen cleaning performed per our request included the Microwave, tile counter tops and sink.  The work in the bathroom was also well done including tackling our large bathroom mirror that was a bit of a reach to clean the upper portion.  They even removed the nasty hard water stained ring in the toilet bowls.
We provided a prioritized list that was more than what could be done in the 6 hours and they accomplished a good portion of the list at a level of quality we didn't expect.
The two cleaners were polite, hard working and efficient.
I would have liked a bit more conversation at the end of the work to sum up what was done and not done on our list.  They also missed an opportunity to secure an on going cleaning contract with us, although I plan to call and fix that myself.

Deck Repair questions, answered by experts

Both deck footings and deck posts help prop up your deck. However, footings are the bottommost parts of a deck that touch the ground. They’re usually made of concrete. Posts are pieces of wood that attach to the top of the footings with brackets. They run upwards and connect to the underside of your deck to support its weight.

For a 12x20-foot (240-square-foot) deck, you can expect to pay between $7,200 and $14,400. This cost is based on a general price of $30 to $60 per square foot. The final price will depend on factors such as the decking material, design complexity, deck type, location, and local labor costs. Keep in mind that add-ons will increase the total; for example, adding an under-deck drainage system to a deck of this size could cost an additional $7,700.

Generally, a patio is more accessible than a standard deck because patios are constructed at ground level. However, decks can be made accessible by adding a wheelchair-accessible ramp, a vertical lift, or a stair lift along the entry. An ADA-compliant deck ramp costs about $3,000 on average. The additional investment will provide a much friendlier experience for your guests with movement impairments.

What goes under your floating deck depends on your preferences. Some homeowners put landscaping fabric underneath their decks to prevent weeds from popping up through the boards. Others choose to build a floating deck over grass or gravel. However, it’s best not to set your deck directly on the ground. Instead, set your deck on blocks to keep it elevated enough to prevent moisture from rotting the wood.

Constant exposure to inclement weather conditions can damage your deck, causing it to fade, warp, or crack over time. Regular maintenance keeps it looking and performing its best. That means giving it a good cleaning and applying a quality sealant or wood treatment to help defend against moisture, sun damage, and everyday wear.
