"Eric was professional, showed up on time guided me through how the project was going to go and what needed to be done based off my idea and how I?d like the end result to look. Made sure the correct materials for the project were ready from start to finish. Installed sub panel, ran all the wires to lights/ ceiling fans/ switches/ added a few 3 ways switches for the kitchen and living room. Added outside lights for the the driveway. Installed the stove hood. All work was done to code and safety requirements. I was very happy with the end project result. I have even already started planning for a new project to add lights and a few outlets for a deck I plan on building. Highly recommend, straight forward, good planning and work ethic, explains work and works by code so everything is done properly."

"I had my garden and bathroom remodel done. Albert and Samuel were professional, friendly, and a delight to work with. They're responsive and reliable. I also like the subcontractors whom they used on my project. They kept me informed of everything and I appreciate their excellent work."

"I couldn’t be happier with the work done on my home. He was professional, thorough, and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. What started as a repair to the flashing and paneling turned into an even better result than I expected, he went above and beyond and even replaced the vent above the paneling, which really shows the level of care he brings to his work. The finished result looks fantastic, and the repair blends in beautifully with the rest of the house. He was careful, responsive, and made sure everything was done properly from start to finish. It’s hard to find someone who is this reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented. I would absolutely recommend him for any job from small to big— he can do it all. I’m very grateful for the quality of his work and will gladly call him again for future projects."

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

String LED lights are the best lights to use on a palm tree, as they’re long-lasting, energy-efficient, and won’t go out if a single bulb stops working.

The most likely cause of accidentally flashing lights is that a regular bulb has been replaced with a flash bulb by accident. If that’s not the case, you should look for a bulb on the strand that is not quite seated properly and will lose its connection when it’s touched or moved.

You should always hang the lights before the ornaments because hanging lights on top of ornaments can cause some to fall off. If a light sits directly on top of an ornament, it can cause it to heat up and possibly change its color or cause it to crack.

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.
