"Jose’s Painting team were very professional and delivered! I appreciated Jose for being prompt for the walk through. Also he did a good job sizing up the work and giving me a work schedule. The team followed through on the work and did an excellent job. Once we agreed on the work plan, they stuck to it. Each day they arrived to work early and went straight to work. At the end of each day they cleaned up and put away their tools and paint. They were very respectful of our property and complied with special requests we had. The painting was very good!!! They did excellent Prep work on my home, which is wood and has wrought Iron work, which made the house look like new. The wrought iron is smooth and looks like new. The work on the wood was well done, there was quite a bit of exposed wood, but they took the time to address all of it and made it look new. The interior was well done again, the extra time spent prepping was key for a terrific finished look. I have a few more projects coming up and I would definitely call them back."

The crew was courteous and quickly addressed any questions or concerns. I would use them again for any future painting projects, and recommend this painting contractor. — Ron E."

"Jon and his crew are great. They are fast, professional, and reasonably priced. We’ve had them paint our entire exterior, interior, stair railing, kitchen cabinets, and doors. Jon helped us determine color options for areas we were unsure about including exterior accents and cabinets. The fresh paint has made such a difference modernizing our house built in the 1990s that hadn’t been updated much prior to our purchase. I will definitely use them again in the future."

"After weeks of hunting for the right person to paint my house, and receiving outrages estimates, I came across Videma Painting Solutions. I am that person that really does not like to hire contractors from instagram advertisements, but Damien’s instagram caught my attention when I saw a post where he talks about the steps it takes to make a finished paint project look amazing. I have to honestly say, I was a bit skeptical about setting up an appointment for an estimate. I thought to my self …”this guy is all talk”. However, I decided to set up an appointment. To make a long story short…a week after I received the estimate to paint the exterior of my home, my home was already painted and completely done to my satisfaction. I have to say, interestingly there is still contractors with Integrity. Damien is a true professional when it comes to delivering whet he advertises. Nonetheless, he promptly responds, he listens, and he delivers quality. He will be painting the interior as well."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Numerous primers on the market will do the job of covering peeling paint. The best primers for peeling paint are bonding or adhesive primers that essentially glue the edges of peeling paint back to the subsurface while providing a smooth, even surface for the new paint coat.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

To fix bubbling paint, scrape away any loose or blistered areas using a putty knife. Lightly sand the surface to smooth out rough edges and create a level finish. Clean the area thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and any residue. Once the surface is clean and dry, apply a quality primer suited to the material you're painting. Finally, repaint the area, making sure to work in proper temperature and humidity conditions to prevent new bubbles from forming.

You can find chemical and naturally derived paint thinners to remove paint without as much sanding. A heat gun or pressure washer can also remove paint from large areas. However, sanding is often the best way to remove the final bits of paint that remain on the surface.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.
