"Max and his team at Twin Peaks Metal did a fantastic job from measurements to completion in 2 weeks for a custom gate and 80 feet of wrought iron fencing. The workmanship is beyond great with excellent welds to top notch installation with powder coating. Maxâ s prices were also very competitive and I will certainly use him again if I need any additional metal or fencing work in the future. Thanks Max, Devin, and Garret for a job well done! ð ð »"

"We bought our new home in January and desperately needed to modernize the 30 year-old kitchen and outdated master bathroom. Moshe was very keen and enthusiastic about helping us design our new rooms and was very flexible in helping us develop our design ideas. Once we signed on with Precise, things moved very quickly. In less than a week, the fantastic foreman Gabi and his team began demolishing the rooms and unbelievably only just over a month later both rooms were complete. This speed did not mean any corners were cut, the quality was excellent, the team just worked very hard to get the job done. For this to work, you need to be ready and responsive to procure the fittings and items you are responsible for and able to make speedy decisions.
A great part of the service was working with Lee in the office, who is the "go-to" for dealing with any issues that inevitable arise in such a big job. She would quickly respond and deal with things and would also go out of her way to check that all was well.
My advice for anyone considering a renovation of this kind is to really think about what you want done, in some detail. Make sure you have pinned this down as far as you can with Precise (they are very good at this, but they don't know your house as well as you do) to avoid having to make changes to the plans. This happened twice for us, when we changed our minds about the extent of the work, it wasn't a big deal for Precise who quickly adapted, but it can be for the buyer if you're on a budget, so think carefully about your plan. Also you will be responsible for providing all appliances, fittings (tubs, faucets, etc), tiling (wall and floor), shower enclosures, handles - basically anything that isn't part of the structure of the house. Precise do have an excellent cabinet maker and we were glad we opted for custom cabinets, as they were very high quality. Make sure you are absolutely clear on what you need to provide and have budgeted for that. My advice here is shop around! Precise have good suppliers to recommend and Moshe was excellent in helping us choose the right tiles and flooring for our rooms.
Our rooms were completely transformed and we are thrilled with the results. The whole process was amazingly stress free considering the amount of work involved and Precise worked very hard to ensure we were satisfied with the results. I would not even think of going anywhere else for any future work and do not hesitate in recommending Precise Home Builders."

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

Yes, fence posts need to be installed below the frost line to ensure stability and prevent heaving caused by freezing and thawing cycles. The frost line is the depth at which soil freezes during winter. By placing posts below this line, often around 3 to 4 feet deep or as recommended for your specific region, you reduce the risk of the ground shifting, which can lead to leaning or unstable fences. Adequate depth provides better anchoring and helps maintain the fence's integrity, ensuring it remains secure and upright throughout changing seasons.

You’ll need to bury the garden fence about 1 foot underground. It’s tempting to save on materials by burying the fence just a couple of inches, but if you do so, determined pests will still be able to dig under the fence and access your plants. Burying your garden fence deep into the soil is an important step that allows you to attach a wire barrier to the fencing.

Burrowing animals (like voles, moles, rabbits, and gophers) can’t dig or chew through this wiring, meaning that you’ll be keeping your prized petunias or your robust veggie garden from being eaten.

Pictures of the area where you want your handrail installed should help get an accurate estimate. You should also let your professional know how accessible the installation location is, and whether or not there is a pre-existing railing to remove. Also, before contacting the pro, take some time to decide what type of wrought iron you are leaning toward.

Finally, have the overall length of your railing at the ready, so you can discuss prefabricated options versus custom-made options.

Proper installation can make a big difference in your fence's maintenance needs. For example, wood fences that aren't installed correctly can be more likely to rot. While it's possible to DIY a fence installation, hiring a local fence company can mean much less work for you in the long run.

A professional fence installer will make sure your fence is positioned correctly and installed in a way that ensures longevity and limited upkeep requirements.

Installation typically takes 2-5 days, depending on the fence size and site conditions.
