"Yes, yes, all kinds of yes. Luth is the man. Arrived on time with a smile (and was adorable), gave me a 20 min courtesy call, no upselling and no hidden fees, and most importantly he got out set-in stains that Stanley Steemer never even touched! He's still currently cleaning but I'm so impressed that I had to hop on here and heap praise. Impressive work for a great price. I almost chose another company. So grateful to all of the reviewers before me for changing my mind.

"Overall experience was very professional and efficient. Although I did not get the stated 30 minute call prior alerting me the technicians were on the way, they did actually show up before the stated window of time given at the time of ordering the service. The two technicians were pleasant. The middle aged man was in charge, had the knowledge, described in detail the procedure and execution along the way. They moved the furniture outside to my patio in order to not risk damage to hardwood floors. Luckily it was a sunny day and that helped with drying time. The younger man did a bulk of the cleaning with a steam/vacuum device attached to the service truck. Although both were constantly busy with the furniture. The entire procedure took under two hours from the time the arrived until the y drove off. He gave me tips and advice on keeping the furniture clean and removing small stains in the future. The price was a tiny bit better than the larger chain company that I did get an estimate from, but used this company as they had a 'Daily News' newspaper 'readers best choice, 2012 seal on their flyer in the ValuePak coupon mailer. I would use or recommend them again."

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Hydrogen peroxide can be a good option for removing dried blood stains, but it’s an aggressive solution that could discolor or damage your carpet. It’s often a better option to call in a professional to deal with dried blood stains. A pro will have commercial cleaning solutions that do a better job as well as the experience necessary to get the stain out without doing irreparable damage to your carpet.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.

It’s a good idea to wash curtains every six months or so to avoid allergens from building up in them and to get rid of any odors from cooking, exercising, or pets. You might want to wash your curtains as often as every three months if you have multiple pets, someone in your family is highly allergic to dust or pet dander, or you cook often with aromatic spices or oils. You might consider a standalone cleaning if you get stains on your curtains or they are visibly soiled.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Professionals remove dust, allergens, and stains while preserving fabric integrity and enhancing the appearance of window treatments.
