"Adam was EXTREMELY professional. He was right on time, very knowledgeable and a gentleman. Adam provided requested quotation and insurance documentation right away. His work included cutting and installing new backer board and waterproofing membrane, tile setting, grout and caulking; all this in tandem with plumbers repiping work. "Javier was great! Very responsive, quickly fit us into his schedule, promptly showed up each day as expected and completed the work in a timely manner! We absolutely love the work he did... actually better than the original job that was completed in our great room! We had asked for 1/16 gaps between our tiles and noticed the original job was about 1/8 gaps... Javier delivered exactly what we expected!!! Would definitely use him again for other tile work!!!"

For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

Natural stone floors, especially pebble-style tiling, are one of the least slippery options for a shower floor. Natural stone has a texture to reduce slickness, and pebble-shaped tiles add more visual and textural contrast while reducing slippage. Vinyl tiles are also designed with anti-slip texture for added safety. If you have a slippery tile, be sure to add a grippy shower mat to reduce the risk of falls.

The reasons not to install flooring underneath a bathtub outweigh the benefits. A properly installed bathtub will keep water from reaching the unprotected subfloor underneath. Installing a tub on top of finished flooring can lead to damage and scratches to the new floor. Also, a small leak from a tub drain may be more difficult to notice if finished flooring impedes water drips.
