Coastline Pavers provides the highest quality interlocking paving stones to Orange County and Los Angeles homeowners at the best value. A family owned and operated business, Coastline Pavers meets or exceeds ICPI and ASTM installation standards and practices. We will provide a free quote & design and specialize in driveways, walkways, patios, pool deck remodels, outdoor kitchens, water features, firepits & fireplaces.

"We live on a sloped street and had some water drainage issues.  Every time it rained water pooled by our kitchen, garage, and a bedroom.  Last summer, we noticed some foundation damage by that bedroom.  A structural engineer said the house was ok, but that we had to address the poor drainage.  We met with at least four different companies to get ideas for a solution.  We chose to work with Karen from Coastline Pavers.  She not only had the best price, but she impressed us with her professionalism, warmth, and excellent communication/follow through.  Her estimates were prompt and detailed.  She visited our house three separate times before we even committed to a project and helped us troubleshoot/design.  She was the only person who sketched a design and helped us visualize our project with samples.  She saved us money by coming up with a solution that didn't involve a sump pump or drains.  Karen was incredibly patient with me, & answered my many questions as well as listened to my concerns.  The crew of workers at Coastline Pavers work very well together, and did an excellent job.  They also coordinated their work with the man who built our fence and patio cover.  Our new patio is beautiful.  The colors coordinate well with our previous house color (tan) & the new one (blue-grey).  The seating wall provides ample seating, works as a bench for home workouts, a hiding spot for the kids, & our cat loves it.  I love that our plants will capture rain water rather than the storm drain, and most importantly, the pavers divert water away from our house. If you have a hardscape project, call Karen and her team.  They will do an awesome job!"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

After you fill in your pool, you can add trees and plants that help stabilize the soil. You might decide not to fill it in at all and find another use for the sunken area instead. A few ideas include creating a seating area or garden inside the empty pool. Depending on its size, you could create a place to roller-skate or install basketball hoops for an unconventional court.

A good rule of thumb is to change 5% to 15% of your koi pon’s water every week. Partial water changes help keep your koi healthy, and replacing small amounts at a time prevents causing stress for the fish.

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.
