Customers say: True professional

"We decided to remodel our outdated bathroom, and McCormick Home Builders was a fantastic choice. Khaled and the team delivered high-quality work within the timeline and our budget. Every detail, from the tile work to the lighting, was beautifully done. They communicated well throughout, keeping us informed at every step, and the end result was truly a spa-like bathroom we can enjoy daily. We’d love to work with them again!"

I have 20 years experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles, building fences or sheds or gates, all different kinds of odds and ends jobs at a home. Ive repaired ac units, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, you name it ive fixed it. I can paint very well and install vinyl plank flooring. I can promise that every job I do I treat like a job for my own home. Ill never accept a job Im not experienced or able to finish timely and proudly. I have completely tore down and replanted the front yard like a pro. Ill dig or move dirt. Ive fixed the main sewer line in a home out to the street. Repaired roofing shingles and small sections of roof plywood. I can build things from wood. I also enjoy mowing lawns and completing all the small things at a home that has added up and needs to be done small things. Ive repaired the breaker box in a home before. Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

The most common defect in a flat roof is leaking. Flat roofs have minimal slope, so water pools more readily on a flat roof than on a sloped roof, and the risk of the waterproof membrane failing increases with exposure. Tears and punctures from foot traffic and blown debris are other common problems, especially with single-ply roofing membranes like TPO and EPDM roofs.

If your roof leaks in heavy rain, that means the roofing is compromised and will need to be inspected and likely repaired. Small holes or cracks in the roofing material or flashing may not be noticeable in dry weather or even in a drizzle, but if they suddenly become noticeable when heavy rain comes, it likely means that small amounts of water are leaking in at other times, potentially causing damage.

In many areas, chimney repair companies need to be licensed, but it depends on your state and local municipality. You can check with your local building department to see if companies need licenses, and then you can use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that the company you’re considering holds the proper license. It’s a good idea to confirm that the professional is fully insured, and you can ask about certification from organizations like the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA). These certifications aren’t mandatory, but they help ensure a professional repair.

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.

Roof blistering and hail damage are different in their physical appearance. Blistering, often caused by inadequate ventilation, low-quality material, and improper installation, looks like large, irregular bubbles popping out of your roof. Meanwhile, hail damage is usually circular or oval dents entering your roof and often follows the same path as the hail storm.
