Ive repaired ac units, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, you name it ive fixed it. I can paint very well and install vinyl plank flooring. I can promise that every job I do I treat like a job for my own home. Ill never accept a job Im not experienced or able to finish timely and proudly. I have completely tore down and replanted the front yard like a pro. Ill dig or move dirt. Ive fixed the main sewer line in a home out to the street. Repaired roofing shingles and small sections of roof plywood. I can build things from wood. Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

The principal, common, and auxiliary rafters are the most frequently used types of rafters. Principal rafters are large and typically appear toward the edges of the roof. Common rafters are smaller than principal rafters. Some people may use a mix of common and principal rafters. The auxiliary rafter is not common, but it provides extra reinforcement for a principal rafter on a large building.

Roof inspection companies sometimes need to be licensed, but it depends on the state and local municipality where you live. You can contact your local building department to see if licensing is required and use Angi’s contractor license lookup tool to confirm that the company holds the proper licensing. It’s also a good idea to hire a roof inspection company certified by the National Roof Certification and Inspection Association (NRCIA), as this helps ensure you’re getting a professional and reliable inspection from a company that is recertified annually.

A chimney cap typically lasts between three and 25 years. This wide range is due to several variables, including the material it's made from, the local climate, and how frequently you use your fireplace. Living in an area with severe weather can shorten its lifespan. Regular inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs as needed can help your chimney cap last as long as possible.

If your roof has storm damage, there will be some telltale signs. These include missing, loose, or damaged shingles. You may notice cracks or dents on the metal parts of your roof, like flashing, gutters, or metal panels. Water leaks are another big indicator. So are visible signs of impact. Rather than climb up on your roof to check, hire a professional to inspect the area  safely.

Hail damage is bad for a roof because it can leave the roof vulnerable to the elements. Hail may leave more than dents or scratches behind. It can actually cause the shingles to crack, which means water can leak into your home from the roof. Hail can also wear down the granules on the shingles. Without these granules, the shingles are weaker and more vulnerable to the elements, particularly wind. If the hailstorm is accompanied by high winds, it may take your shingles with it.
