"Was just going to ask for a quote. Within a week from that date, we had a new roof! Very happy with the work and will last us for as long as we live here. Will make it easier to sell when we move on. Wonderful experience with Matthew B. and Michael M."

"We hired Handyman Sam to paint the fascia around our house. He quickly found some rot, and recommended we get that repaired. He coordinated with a roofer to peel back part of our roof to replace some beams & fascia. They did a great job, and added some drip edges so water damage would not occur again. Then they painted, making sure we liked the samples first. All in all, a great job, lots of communication, done when he said it would be, and he treated his guys well. Definitely would recommend him."

"The entire team was brilliant. My family felt safe with the demo by Sean and Mike, who were friendly and professional. They swept up debris on my concrete driveway at end of day. Justin diligently fixed the leak and provided excellent expertise. The installation of the shower, shower pan and tiling was very well done by Raphael and Mike. They worked hard but took their time to get it right. Dillion did a terrific job with the glass doors and enclosure, sealing all joints. Of utmost importance, Abel ensured I felt comfortable with everyone s work. He verified each aspect and took time to make sure it was done correctly. Furthermore he followed up with me a week or so later. It s what all parties should expect."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

You can use hot, soapy water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, window cleaner, nail polish remover, WD-40, and cooking oil to remove glass labels. You can also apply heat with a hair dryer or steam cleaner. Use a plastic scraper or credit card to remove the adhesive, as a razor blade can permanently scratch your glass.

Despite their popularity and modern styling, glass railings have a few drawbacks. The first is their high initial cost. While they cost little to maintain, they can be costly to install. Also, scratches and chips in the glass are highly visible and require repairs. Additionally, glass railings require frequent cleaning to maintain their good looks.

This happens when condensation forms due to your room temperature being lower than its dew point. You can clean the glass with a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and warm water to wipe away the fog from the doors.

In terms of initial material and installation, glass stair railings are costlier than railings made from materials like wood, metal, or cable. Whether they are worth the investment often comes down to personal preference. Glass railings can offer a high return on investment, both in monetary value when it's time to sell and in the bold styling and functionality they add to a home. They provide a high level of safety, see-through functionality, and a unique appearance that other materials cannot replicate. From a maintenance perspective, glass railings require little to stay in working order but do need frequent cleaning to look their best.
