"We are SO happy to have found Alfredo on Angi’s! We called him on Friday and him and his crew had our project done on Monday. My husband also works construction and he was very impressed by the work they did for us. We won’t be using anyone else for our concrete projects! Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for concrete work."

"A fantastic experience from start to finish, BGL transformed our vague intentions into concrete form. We needed a soil and grass lawn converted to a rock garden with undemanding but beautiful flora. An adjacent ramp and slab needed to be replaced to correct their inclines. BGL rapidly produced a striking design and then enacted it rapidly and thoroughly. In addition to the concrete work, stone walkways were placed and a drip irrigation system was installed and integrated."

"We previously hired a contractor to install the sprinker/irrigation system. The same day the system was turned on, the pipe burst. The contractor promised to fix it right away; he started the repair job, but never finished it. After trying unsuccessfully for more than a week to get that contractor finish the paid-for job (which he had said could be done in less than a day), we gave up, and called Nato of Zarco Landscaping. It was a small project. But Nato came out for an estimate the same day we called him, and got the job done the next day. He was responsive, punctual, professional, and the job was well done. He was significantly more expensive than the previous contractor, but we were happy to pay more for good, solid service."

"This company did a great job on my mom's driveway. The guys were courteous and professional and answered all my questions. I was so happy to learn that my mom's driveway could be fixed by lifting the different sections instead of repaving or grinding. She can now use her walker to roll in her front door without having to bang up against an inch or more of concrete. Thank you for helping make it safer for her to live in her house. I would defiantly use them again and refer to others!"

Concrete Cutting FAQs, answered by experts

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Choosing the right metal fabricator for your project begins with research. Find a reputable fabrication company by searching for reputable contractors in your area, and then reviewing photos of their previous work, customer reviews, and photos of the company’s workshop.

Once you’ve narrowed down the list, contact the companies to ask about the types of metal fabrication projects they specialize and inquire about guarantees and warranties on workmanship. You should also ensure the company uses high-quality material, and ask about the schedule and turnaround time for your proposed project.

Since water heaters are primarily made of metal, they’re commonly accepted by scrap yards and collectors. Don’t expect to fetch a high price, though—water heaters are mostly steel and aluminum, which aren’t high-value metals. Some components are made of more valuable metals, like brass and copper, but they’re a small portion of the heater and won’t affect the price much.

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.
