"I got rid a lot of unnecessary stuff, cleaned up our house and storage unit. It pretty much took the whole space in my garage and i was overwhelmed on how to get rid of it. My friend gave me The Junk Dude’s number to contact. He responded quickly and got a reasonable price for the work. He got rid of everything (old furnitures, appliances, trash, etc) and cleared up my garage. Christian is amazing!!!"

Small jobs welcome

Hello there I started this junk removal this June, doing it as a little side thing. Very familiar with removing junk and hauling stuff away. I and the people that do help me are very considerate on how we remove your stuff away and are sure to be cautious of our surroundings.

"Great lawn service! They did an excellent job mowing the lawn, edging all the borders, trimming the bushes, and removing the weeds. Everything was cleaned up nicely afterward, and the yard looks much more neat and well-maintained. They were professional, thorough, and did exactly what I needed. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable lawn care!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

While do-it-yourself removal is possible, professional services are often recommended. Professionals handle permits, heavy lifting, and ensure safe and proper disposal in compliance with waste management laws.

Yes, you can recycle a small appliance. In some cases, a small appliance is one of the easiest to recycle because it’s  easy to transport and is in high demand for use as scrap metal. The most common recyclable items include toasters, slow cookers, lamps and lighting, microwaves, and food processors. Charitable organizations, scrap yards and utility companies are good places to recycle your small appliance.

Products that are hazardous, such as aerosol sprays, top the list of what to leave behind during a move. Avoid packing perishables, garden and garage chemicals, pool supplies, compressed gases, and combustible items. If you are trying to move by yourself, you may want to downsize so you have fewer belongings to pack and move (and then unpack).

While many junk haulers have restrictions on taking hazardous materials, most will be able to take appliances that use refrigerants, like refrigerators and air conditioners. Always check with the junk removal company first to find out if there are extra fees or preparation steps for removing appliances that use refrigerants.

If you can’t repair and repurpose your shed, it might be possible to sell it, donate it, or salvage parts rather than them just ending up in a landfill. Professional junk removal services will advise you on what can and will be recycled. You may also want to keep some parts to upcycle them for other projects around your home. Turning planks from your memory-filled wooden shed into a coffee table or bed headboard is good for the environment and the soul.
