"Yes, yes, all kinds of yes. Luth is the man. Arrived on time with a smile (and was adorable), gave me a 20 min courtesy call, no upselling and no hidden fees, and most importantly he got out set-in stains that Stanley Steemer never even touched! He's still currently cleaning but I'm so impressed that I had to hop on here and heap praise. Impressive work for a great price. I almost chose another company. So grateful to all of the reviewers before me for changing my mind.

"Not the fastest ever but with that also comes some more attention to detail in most areas. Dishes I would handle yourselves not that she isn't capable but everyone has their strong suits. Excellent at knocking out huge disaster areas from Holliday and party situations. Just be specific about what you do and don't want and what you do and don't expect. Heads up, Aubrey looks a lil rough but she knows her stuff and is very trustworthy. We have tons of valuable items around that would be easy to take or break and areas that could have been passed up but she made sure to be thorough and complete. Don't expect grace rather expect go get em and knock it out of the park energy and pace. Nothing was broken or damaged though I felt she was unaware of how valuable some of the items she moved or handled during cleaning actually were so I had to one last time make sure she had all she needed let her know where I would be and step away. Couldn't be more pleased and she was very grateful for the tip I left her afterwards. She also has another girl with her on occasion though I didn't meet her. She told me how great they work together and how she knows it's not glamorous it's all hers and she loves it, she did mention that people at times were too judgemental of her appearance (there was no specific reason for this that I could name) but she explained she had been through a lot and was thankful every day she was still able to wake up and make a better life for herself. I can't fault that sort of attitude or mindset and I hope any reading this can think twice before judging a book by it's cover, you never know how interesting the story just may turn out to be. I recommend her whole heartedley."

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on fabric type, drape size, cleaning method, and whether additional services like pressing or deodorizing are included.

It’s a good idea to wash curtains every six months or so to avoid allergens from building up in them and to get rid of any odors from cooking, exercising, or pets. You might want to wash your curtains as often as every three months if you have multiple pets, someone in your family is highly allergic to dust or pet dander, or you cook often with aromatic spices or oils. You might consider a standalone cleaning if you get stains on your curtains or they are visibly soiled.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.

Custom curtains or drapes are an investment, often costing hundreds of dollars. Just like rugs or fabric furniture, cleaning helps maintain its original quality and keeps it lasting for years to come. Skipping regular drapery cleaning can result in discoloration, odors, mold or mildew, and even allergens from dust buildup.
