"I really enjoyed working with George and his team to get the interior and exterior of my little house painted (I would not say "enjoy" about most jobs I've hired people to do work). George was very good at communicating (text before calling), explaining how he would fix walls and the exterior, asking details about the job, giving me the quote in writing, scheduling the paint job about a week after accepting the quote, and communicating the time of his team's arrival all four days they were there. He put me at ease, was insightful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The team was professional, courteous, respectful, and didn't break anything. The house looks great inside and out. I will absolutely hire A+ Painting for future paint jobs."

"Rolando wants to provide the best results and makes excellent recommendations that you should consider and discuss. Lower cost (cheaper paints) don’t necessarily give you the best or lasting results. His team is very meticulous and does a great job in prepping and cleanup."

Customers say: Quick response

"Bruno and his team were fantastic! They are reliable and responsible and the completed work was done very well. Challenges came up during the job, but Bruno was quick to come up with solutions and we were very appreciative. All punch list items were picked up quickly and accordingly after the site walk. We highly recommend Deco Painting Company. Great value and great work! Thank-you, Bruno!"

I'm Fernando Palma with Palma's Painting. After I graduated in 2013, I received a call from my former boss to officially start working in his company, I have worked in Painting ever since , doing and focusing in Exterior and Interior Painting . We have done many residential and commercial homes . \nAlthough Painting may sound simple enough, there are many steps and ways in getting things applied the right way , for example ; Any trim with Oil paint used in the past, must be sanded and de-glossed before applying Paint again, otherwise paint will just peel and scratch off easily . It's important that while getting ready to paint, you have done all the necessary steps to make sure you get a solid finish . \nFeel free to give us a call or text with no commitment . \n-Fernando Palma

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Professionals use safe, efficient methods that protect surfaces and prepare for new finishes.

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

Scrape softened caulk with a putty knife or slice hardened caulk with a utility knife. Hard-to-remove caulk generally requires more time exposed to a softening solution, like a commercial product or rubbing alcohol. A few hours to a day later, the softened caulk will come off with the help of common household tools. In many cases, you can grab needle-nosed pliers for caulk with multiple old layers and pull the material off its base.

In many cases, professionals can completely remove certain types of smoke damage from walls and ceilings, but it’s only possible if the damage is minor. For more extensive damage from major fires, you’ll likely need to replace the damaged materials entirely. Some items, like upholstered furniture, are much trickier to clean and might need to be replaced even if the smoke damage is minimal.

Using a wire brush, forcefully scrub the surface to remove paint from metal. You’ll want to remove any lingering rust, too. For larger areas with caked-on rust, you may need to use a wire brush drill attachment. If the paint still won’t budge, apply a chemical paint stripper to the area and scrape off the paint, after following the paint stripper’s instructions.
