H2h DoorsGreat. I called Glen to tell him about our garage door problem on our rental home in Merced. Glen listened to the symptoms and said the problem sounds like your sensors. Glen offered to have our renter attempt the simple fix of alignment and call to cancel the appointment if not needed. By the way Glen answered on my first call. The renter was not able to resolve the door problem. After completion, Glen called me and said it was a fairly quick fix, but it did take some technical experience to align the sensors. He said don't do any extensive work on this door, just ride it out, then look to getting a new one. Since he fixed it pretty quick, he didn't charge his minimal $59 house call.- Allan A.

The installer came on time and was finished in less than 2 hours, it helped that we don't have a garage full of boxes, just two cars that we moved out beforehand. GARAGE DOOR DOCTORI was referred to Garage Door Doctors by a friend who had used them before and highly recommended them. The garage was neglected when I purchased the home. I called and spoke with Paul. He was professional, showed up when he promised, and told me the truth about the condition of the garage door and components...the cost to repair the damage was too high vs. buying a new one. I made the choice to buy a new one and Paul was out within a day to remove and replace it. During the visit he noted the opener itself had some damage and requested I give him permission to disassemble and repair it. For a little more money it was repaired rather than replaced. He even helped re-program the remotes for me :-). Paul is a pleasure to work with and I recommend using him when the need arises. Benedict- Benedict P.

Door Mart Garage DoorsThey came out and replaced the mechanism inside the main box that pulls the door up and down. He changed the gear. He had the work done in about a half hour. When he wrote up the bill he had forgot to give me the 5% off since I am a senior. The 5% was discussed when I set up the appointment. He was very nice about changing the amount right away. The one thing I liked was how quickly they were able to come out. I had called a few other people saying they could be out in a week or would have to call me back. I had called them each out of the phone book. It was a real convenience that they were able to come out as quickly as they did.- mia k.

I contacted Mega Power Electric Inc to install a solar PV system on a new house. Construction got delayed, I asked to add more panels, things changed, they had to visit the site multiple times to coordinate with roofers, electricians, and others. Throughout they were courteous, responsive, and thoroughly professional. They informed me at all steps of the process what to expect, and things pretty much happened as they described. As a HERS Rater, I've been involved in inspecting a lot of solar installations and getting to know the companies doing the installation. Mega Power Electric Inc is as good as they come.

They sent a technician that looked like a young boy to fix the garage keypad malfunction. All of a sudden the pad started working and he could not tell me why. I demanded to know the reason, so that I will be able to troubleshoot or prevent this kind of issues. He refused to do that and I had to pay him. Now the amount they want for a visit doubled. And the same issue kept happening with some variations. Now the remote is malfunctioning and the garage opening and closing mechanism is unreliable and difficult to set as well. That is the one that is operating with the use of the hanging rope. Door Mart refuses to address that with me over the phone and answer a couple questions before I call their technician. They demand a visit. I always try to troubleshoot it before a costly visit. They told me that since the garage door was installed 3 years ago, they are not obligated to talk to me. But isn't it just good business to answer some simple questions? They told me to call another garage door company for questions. And my answer was why should I. They are not the ones that had installed my garage door. Also the person that had installed my door did that in a hurry. He told me he wanted to avoid a rush traffic. He left a few wires hanging out in the motor area so it was unsightly. I would not hire someone that cannot deal with loose ends after their product is installed. After any installation there can be issues.
