Don’t be Fooled by the low price per room or the whole house prices. Most likely they are going to try and up sale you when they get there or not do the job correctly 1. Vacuum 2. Conner vacuum 3. Pre Spray and spot treat 4. Agitate carpet ( with a machine not a carpet rake) 5. Extract out with a neutralizer 6. Rake carpet fibers That’s how the manufactures want it done and that’s how we get it done

"We recently hired Sterling Carpet Cleaning to clean the carpets in my parents' entire house in Clovis. The technician was prompt and professional. The carpets were pretty worn/soiled, and we were amazed at how good the carpet looked at the end. The technician took his time and did a very thorough job. And the price was really, really good. We plan to hire Sterling again!"

Big Bob's gets carpet mill run trials and roll ends straight from the manufacturer before the other stores even touch it. Plus we have four-day-old carpet that has only been used at conventions and trade shows. On top of that, we have a huge selection of hardwood, vinyl, tile and area rugs. All for pennies on the dollar!

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, installing or replacing carpet yourself is a challenging DIY project. It involves multiple steps, including the removal of old flooring, underlayment and tack strip installation, careful measuring, and stretching the carpet to prevent it from wrinkling or puckering. Expect to spend at least four days installing carpet if you decide to do it yourself.

In most cases, laminate flooring is better for people with dust or other allergies as laminate is easier to clean. Carpet can trap pollen and other allergens, allowing them to be kicked up into the air again with foot traffic. Consult your flooring specialist about the best types of carpet or laminate flooring to use based on your household member’s needs.

DIY is possible for small areas. Professional installation ensures proper stretching and a polished finish.

Avoid plush, high-pile, or thick carpets on your stairs because they can increase the risk of slipping and wear down quickly in busy homes. Also, ensure the carpet you install is stain-resistant, particularly if you select a light color.

Yes, carpeted stairs are safer because carpet helps reduce the chances of slips and falls compared to harder materials like wood, vinyl, tile, or steel staircases, which lack the friction needed for a secure tread. And, if you do happen to fall, carpeted stairs also have more cushioning in the case of an accident.
