"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"Bottom line: I highly recommend and will be a repeat client if my needs call for more painting. Jon and his crew performed an interior painting of my new condo (walls, ceilings, trim, mud/texture patchwork over new drywall) and I could not be happier with the results. I received multiple bids and went with Jon for numerous reasons: - Timely (almost immediate) response to my phone calls and emails. - GREAT customer service and interaction (Jon and his entire crew). - After the initial walk through, Jon gave locations of other homes they were painting and I was able to see their work and color schemes. - I removed numerous cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom, resulting in the hanging of new drywall. Jon's crew were able to mud and texture the new drywall, matching it perfectly to the rest of the condo. - Job was started on time and completed on time, as promised. - Jon followed up after work was completed to ensure that I was happy with the work or if anything needed to be addressed."

"Painting our house with a fireproof coating and topcoat required specific experience, applying the FireFree 88 undercoating to a measured 30 mils wet thickness. We were referred to Jorge Osorio, Four Season Painting, as having done this before. All references were very enthusiastic, and the results bear this out. Despite difficult weather and smoke from the California fires, Jorge and his crew came from quite a distance and were here on time early each day. They all worked diligently until late, and cleaned up completely when they were done for the day. They painted our house, a deck, a detached garage, a large trellis and two outbuildings, gving excellent attention to power washing, masking, choice of paint, applying the four coats, and careful final touchup. Nothing was rushed, and they did not take any shortcuts. When unexpected requirements came up, they cheerfully took them on. Jorge and his crew struck us as capable, experienced, hard-working, honest and cheerful. We would definitely use Four Seasons again, and highly recommend them for any painting of this nature. We are extremely pleased with the final results."

"First time completing this. They worked well, by arriving at 10am and worked to dark. They kept me informed of the work and worked well during the rain in Feb 2024 in Monterey County California. Replaced the wood around the window frames as needed was reasonably priced."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It is not always necessary to remove old stain before restaining a deck. If the previous stain is in good condition and is compatible with the new stain, you may be able to apply a new coat after thorough cleaning. However, if the old stain is in bad condition, flaking, or peeling, it is best to remove it completely to ensure an even surface and proper adhesion for the new coat. Staining over a damaged layer can lead to an uneven finish and poor penetration. For best results, test a small area first and consult the stain manufacturer's guidelines.

It's okay to walk on a newly painted deck after about four to six hours as long as the weather has been dry. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before you place any outdoor furniture or grills on a freshly painted deck, though.

When staining a deck, don’t skip surface prep, avoid staining damp or dirty boards, and don’t apply stain in extreme heat, cold, or wet conditions. Never overload the wood with a stain, as too much can cause tackiness or peeling. Also, don’t forget to test a small area first to ensure the color and finish look right.

It’s necessary for paint to completely dry before exposure to rain, and that drying time varies by the type of paint used. Oil-based paint takes 6 to 8 hours to dry on average, meaning that’s the minimum time needed between the last brush stroke and the first raindrop. Latex paint dries faster at around 1 hour, and acrylic paint is even quicker, usually drying in about 30 minutes. If rain is in the forecast, check the paint manufacturer's details before laying on a new coat.

Most gutter painting pros also specialize in complete home exterior painting. You may save by making your gutter painting part of the cost to paint the exterior of a house in its entirety. Many people have all parts of their home exterior painted simultaneously to keep everything looking equally fresh. Consider having walls, trim, porches, shutters, and doors painted as well.
