"Israel and his team were beyond professional and left my 3 year old carpets AND sofas looking as close to new as possible. They were polite, efficient and also went out of their way to make sure this highly strung customer (it's me :) was happy. I would definitely recommend this business for any carpet cleaning needs."

"I had spilled bleach in ~10 two-inch spots. Brandon arrived near the beginning of his one-hour window. The carpet was multi color but he was able to do a great color correction. At worst it looked like a recently vacuumed or high traffic area. He was courteous, professional, and was able to finish the job in ~3 hours. Evidently it cost a bit more because it was a multi-color carpet, but that's the breaks. I highly recommend his service and from what I've read about color correction, not many people can consistently do it well, but Brandon did a great job."

"Juan was fantastic. He returned my call in less than 5 minutes, his quote was reasonable and he was able to schedule my repair on the next business day. He arrived on time, explained the process and completed the replacement of two cracked tiles in 2 1/2 hours. He cleaned the area thoroughly and called the following day to make sure I was happy with the work. I would not hesitate to use him for any future tile project."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

When choosing whether to install carpet in your home, consider the pros and cons of this change:

Pros

  • More affordable than laminate flooring

  • Gives the room a warmer feel

  • Softer on feet

  • Wide variety of textures and colors

  • Hides dirt easily

  • Faster and easier to install

Cons

  • Shows wear and tear more quickly than laminate flooring

  • Shows stains

  • Soaks up liquids

  • May not work well in some areas, such as a bathroom

  • Less durable than laminate flooring

  • Susceptible to water damage, mold, and mildew

If the stairs are already covered in carpet, you will need to remove the old carpet and possibly the carpet pad. Any damage to the stairs like cracks, loose boards, or creaky treads may also need to be repaired. You may also want to sand and refinish or paint wood stairs before installing a carpet runner.

Yes, installing laminate over carpet could negatively affect the resale value of your home. It’s no surprise that homebuyers prefer flooring that someone has installed according to industry standards. Laminate over carpet may raise concerns about the quality and stability of the flooring, impacting the overall perceived value of the property.

Carpet tiles come with a preexisting adhesive backing, which means installing them is as simple as peeling off the paper and sticking them down where they need to go. In other words, no. You won’t need to purchase any separate glue to get your carpet squares situated. It’s already built into the carpet tile itself.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.
