"We signed the contract with Verengo 03/07/14 to lease the solar panels. The panels were installed on 4/10/14 and the team was very professional and quick. A few concrete tiles were broken during the installation but they were replaced the next day. There was a code problem that arose when the City came to inspect but again it was corrected (at no cost to us). Everything was approved at the second inspection. On 05/12/14, we were notified that we could flip the switch to activate the panels.  We will be saving approximately $100.00 a month on our electric bill and are very happy with the work done by Verengo.
You can contact Verengo at 1-877-403-4354.

"His name is Andrew Johnson. He is going to be doing our carport next. He does all of our electrical but he also does incredible solar. It was around $17,000 for the solar. We have a big house. You can't beat his prices. He doesn't have a huge company. His guys are great. He shows up when he says. He does meticulous work. The city's came out and told him right in front us that he did better than perfect. He lives in our neighborhood. He told him to get on Angie's List"

"It took my HOA more than a month to approve my project. It took RCI Solar only 2 days to install my solar panels along with a generator sub-panel! Watching that PG&E meter spin backward is the most beautiful thing I have seen today. Solar installs this year are eligible for a rebate, do not wait for next year."

"I had talked to many solar companies and specially the big names. Then i talked to Daniel from Gold Rush Energy Solutions. He was very nice and polite and listened to all my questions and explained me all the advantages of the solar system and its different options with the solar panels available in the market and the invertor systems. He was not really pushy like all other solar companies will definitely do. Once i finalized the system with them, it took 1-2 weeks only to get it approved and permits and installation. Also approval from PG&E was also very quick and my system was running perfectly as it was explained and the way it should be. Also the installation crew were very professional and finished up the job on time and also cleaned up everything and also painted the conduits and pipes used on the wall. They were professional and neat as they worked. Also the online monitoring system is working perfectly as expected. I have seen the installation for other solar systems in my neighborhood and i could see the difference. I will definitely recommend GOLD RUSH ENERGY SOLUTIONS than the big companies, as you will get good service and personal attention than the corporate service which you don't know who you are talking to and might be different salesperson every few months. I will definitely recommend to all my friends. Finally A HAPPY CUSTOMER."

I haven't had any problem since installed till recently some issue happened but they came out and got it fixed with wonderful service. Always available when I call them and ready to help. I see that they installed good quality material and high tech system. Armin is a great person, always there to assist in any matter. Very happy with their service. Thank You."

"Landmark construction and energy crew executed a whole kitchen renovation for us, including custom cabinets, new floors, new countertops, electrical (sub panel with lights and switches), recessed lighting covering, plumbing fixtures, took down wall to expand the kitchen area by merging it to the living room space. The cost included all the materials for cabinets and countertops, backsplash tiles, new floors and the appliances. We are thrilled with our new kitchen! Charlie, Nir and the workers did an excellent work and while the whole job was completed in less than a month. You could see how hard they worked in order to keep the work moving so it will be done in that time period that they originally promised us. On top of that, they worked hard to get things to our requirements (i.e. to stain the cabinets, complete the paint etc…). We all were pleasant and satisfied to have them work at our house and mainly with Charlie (project manager) that was approachable and supportive when we had requests or problems. I must mention that on few times, we were bothered with some of the workers when they didn’t show up when they should, or worked more hours on the electricity panel. Clearly enough, it’s normal that you must have to handle a lot of problems when you decide on going for this type of project. The final cost was the same as we agreed with them at first, although we were sure that it will be increased due to some additional things that we did during the work and that were not included in the first estimate/agreement. Overall, we would give LANDMARK CONSTRUCTION AND ENERGY CREW Construction a strong recommendation!"

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Solar batteries can be a great investment to help maximize your solar savings and make your system and home more valuable, but they’re most beneficial to customers who don’t have access to net metering. If your state or energy provider doesn’t provide net metering, batteries can be a great way to offset consumption even when your panels aren’t producing power. They also come with the added benefit of providing electricity through blackouts, so they’re valuable in areas prone to severe weather that could cause frequent blackouts. Your installer can help you decide if batteries are worthwhile.

In most cases, yes, solar panels are well worth the investment. Going solar with your home’s energy is expensive, but, in most states, the panels will pay for themselves by reducing your electric bills. Solar panels don’t produce greenhouse gasses or other pollutants, meaning you can feel good about using this renewable energy source to power your home. Plus, installing solar panels can boost your home value, helping your profit off your next home sale.

DIY solar panel installations are hard to manage by yourself. You’ll likely need some help or prior experience to make the project worth the effort.

The average homeowner needs around 22 solar panels, but the exact number depends on your monthly energy consumption. Your solar professional should size your array to offset your consumption, meaning you’ll need fewer panels if you use below-average amounts of electricity, or more than 22 if you use above-average amounts of electricity. The number of panels also depends on the output of each panel. The average is around 400 watts, but you might need more panels if you install less capable equipment. Since there are so many variables, you should have a professional size your system.

You can install solar panels on a metal roof, but it will require some additional thought and care versus a traditional asphalt shingle roof. That’s because heat dissipates off a metal roof differently than asphalt or wood, so you may need to space the panels further from the roof. However, a pro can help you with the details and provide a safe and effective installation.
