P's Handyman Services IncIf you need work of almost any kind performed, Pier is your guy to call. He takes great pride in his work and will make sure your job is done RIGHT. All of his sub-contractors for each type of job were also very competent and efficient. Pier is expensive. But we now have had him do 3 jobs to either correct work that previously have been done poorly by other handymen or contractors, or to do unusual work that other handymen could not do. And there were a few ‘extra’ small things that he did without charging us for. The current work he’s just finishing now was extensive and involved several areas. They include: Replaced many rot or termite-damaged beams and fascia boards. One of the beams was 500 pounds that ran along the entrance of the house. The new beams, posts and boards were treated for termites and painted to match our existing ones. Patio Covers: Installed tinted Polycarbonate panels to cover our front arbor/patio area and the kitchen side at the back of the house. We needed protection from the sun for our shade plants in those areas, and the tinted panels look much simpler and cleaner looking than the entire back patio panels that we had Patios By B&B do that were such a disaster. Gutters were installed for both new panel-covered areas. Outdoor Electrical: Convert our low-voltage coach lights to 110 volts, install new Coach lamps that we purchased, and added new LED bulbs for those and several areas of our existing outdoor lighting. (We got tired of our halogen ones burning out all the time). Front Patio Pavers: Fix paver leveling on two small sections of our patio. One of the sections had to have a huge root dug out and removed from a previously removed tree that had created a huge ‘mound’ along the walkway. The other small area was to correct the leveling of previously placed pavers that did not flow water towards the existing drain.- David and Cathy G.

I will disclose that I've known the owner of the company since 4th grade and have always known him to be very hard working, fair and honest. The summer working conditions could not have been hotter outside and John didn't skip a beat. I'm also thankful we didn't try any of the maintenance ourselves. Leaving it to the professionals protected the critical systems in the home which we were not aware of until the owner educated us on how they worked and how they needed to be maintained safely in specific ways to make them last. JNL Roofing and RemodellingI had what seemed to be a simple one missing concrete roof tile that needed to be replaced but ended up being four slipped tiles. Regardless, JNL Roofing was the only qualified roofer who would take on this small job (all other firms suggested I call a handyman who I doubt would have been able to fully understand what it was they were dealing with they discovered the real situation. The crew came out on time, friendly and professional. They checked where we thought there was a bee hive on the outside of the house, but found no hive. They went into the attic and checked the roof from the inside as well. Explaining their work as they went. I really liked the fact that they relocate the bees instead of kill them. ultimately they said the bees we saw were probably scouts looking to start a new hive, but we were in the clear. The company refused to bill me for the service call. Would definitely hire them again!

Let me be honest, The Rain Gutters was not my first choice. I usually like to go with more local places when I can, but when my first choice decided to blow me off, I'm so glad they did. Now like most home improvement projects, there are always a few bumps, but the staff at The Rain Gutters were excellent. 1. When requesting estimates, Lee was great. After scheduling an appointment, Lee showed up on time. Lee went over everything with me, including matching the best color to the paint on my house. He also broke down my estimate into sections of where I may or may not need replacement. There was no pressure sales, and no nagging phone calls or emails. I told him I would take a few weeks to decide, and he respected that time. 2. After being blown off by the other company, I called to schedule installation. This step was quick and easy, and we were ready to go in a week. 3. The morning of installation, Alejandro and Francisco were on site. There was an issue with angle of my fascia board, and the gutter size that was selected. Francisco said that he could custom bend a larger gutter to suit my needs. After discussing the options with the office, I went with a larger gutter for a small increase in material fees. No rescheduling, the company sent the material via UBER. 4. Here's the big bump. Since I had Lee break the estimate into parts, no one, including myself, went over the estimate in depth. It wasn't until we started the job, that is was noticed that we did not add all sections of the breakdown in the estimate together. Vian from the office called me quickly to rectify the situation. Together we discussed the actual price, and also compared the price with other 4 quotes that I had previously received. From there, Vian worked with her boss and myself to come to an agreeable price, where I was still within my budget, and they would not have to eat too much material cost. 5. As I went to check on the home near completion, Francisco mentioned that there might be a drainage issues in one area of the house, and asked if I would like another downspout installed. He did this custom work at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to replace/repair your gutters. This company and staff seem to be very honest, and have great communication. Personally, I myself work in customer service, and the staff at The Rain Gutters did everything they could to make sure I was satisfied.

He made one trip to give me an estimate and came back to do the job. It took him much longer than he or I had estimated, and much longer than in the past. This time the mold had accumulated so thickly that his large circular brush was ineffective. So he switched to a small narrow, high-pressure nozzle and worked every single brick and section of grout--for four hours! I told him those bricks had never looked so clean in the 16 years since we moved in. He did not ask for an increase in his fee. I volunteered an increase because he had earned it. His dedication to quality and his honesty will lead me to call him next time. Highest recommendation.
