"My wife and I can't say enough good things about Aaron's Plumbing & Rooter! After getting quotes from a few local plumbers for a water softener install and a few small plumbing tasks, we reached out to Aaron's to get one more quote - so glad we did. Aaron himself showed up the very next day for an on-site evaluation and quote. Aaron was super friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. He showed up wearing a mask and wore shoe covers while in our home and during all portions of the evaluation and subsequent jobs. He presented multiple options for water softening and wrote out a quote which was very competitive with other plumbers. We decided to go with Aaron, and to our surprise, he was able to install it and complete other tasks the very next morning. They showed up on time and completed the job super quick! A few days later, we had a small water leak at one of our toilets, and we reached out to Aaron late at night. Stephen, on Aaron's team, came out the very next morning. It turned out the issue was complicated and poor Stephen worked hard almost the entire day but resolved the issue after running around town to get parts! These guys are awesome! In summary, Aaron and his team are now our plumbers for life! We really appreciate Aaron's professionalism and responsiveness. We hope we won't need their services again any time soon, but if we do, we won't hesitate to reach out! Highly recommended!!!"

"We recently had our home repiped and couldn't be happier with the out come and experience. The crew of gentleman where professional, punctual, and communicated clearly throughout the entire project. They also completed the work on time for me, and also a big one for me they left there space clean and made sure to always pick up and after themselves, and made sure everything was working properly before the left my house. The quality of the workmanship was so good, excellent and our water pressure has improved significantly. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a fix on your plumbing needs very respectful men. "Best response and service we have ever had for a plumbing problem. They called us immediately and very patiently listened to our issue and walked through the pricing and process. A plumber came to our home as scheduled and worked efficiently to assess and fix the problem. We had a drain clog (not camera locate breakage) and they removed the toilet, snaked the drain and fixed the problem very quickly! There were no surprises and we paid for their service by the hour rather than by the job which saved us many $$s. We would definitely use then again and highly recommend."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Adding a half bathroom can be worth it for two reasons: you want to increase the livability of your home and increase its value. While a value increase is more likely for a smaller home than a larger one, smaller houses with a large number of occupants can see a drastic increase in the ease and flow of daily life with the addition of a half bathroom.

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).

You should choose the type of toilet that meets your budget, fits properly in your space, and matches the rest of your decor. If you’ve never gone toilet shopping before, you might be surprised at how many options are available. Most homeowners choose a two-piece toilet, which is the industry standard, and a gravity flush system is the most common. However, dual-flush and low-flush toilets are becoming more prevalent as more people become conscious of water consumption.

Yes, pressure-assist toilets leak, but less often than regular toilets. You might experience leaks from your toilet due to worn-out parts, water pressure in your plumbing that’s too high or low, poor installation, or cracks in your tank. These toilets are harder to fix on your own than gravity-fed ones, so it’s best to call a plumber if you can’t figure out what’s wrong,
