Aire Serv of the Gold Country is a full service heating and air conditioning company. We have 10 professional employees whose main goal is to provide you with quality service and insure that your HVAC equipment is operating safely and efficiently. We offer twice a year maintenance plans with great member discounts, priority service and guarantee our work. Aire Serv accepts all major credit cards and offers financing for replacement systems. Independently owned & operated. Additional phone numbers - (209) 736-2471, (209) 223-1143. Additional DBA - Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning of the Gold Country.

"After 24 years our heating/air unit was on it's last legs. We called Aire Serv for an estimate to replace the system. I was impressed with the detailed plan they presented on how to make our new system more efficient and improve air flow into our home. A thorough inspection was done to the house checking registers, thermostat, and overall efficiency. After the inspection, they gave us a detailed bid on what they felt would be the most efficient system to help us lower our heating/air costs moving forward. They also encouraged us to seek other bids before making a decision. I called 2 other local companies and couldn't believe the lack of effort or knowledge of HVAC systems. Both bidders basically gave me a price to replace the unit with an updated version of the same one we currently had. They spent about 10 minutes looking at the unit and gave pricing for a replacement. No inspection of thermostat, ducting or any questions about efficiency. We made the decision to go with Aire Serv due to their attention to detail and desire to help us save money. Sure the unit did cost more than the other companies, but the savings we have seen since our system was installed far outweigh the difference in price. I would HIGHLY recommend you pay attention to who you are paying to keep you and your family comfortable in the place you spend the most time."

We specialize in home pest control, and use a variety of methods to eliminate your unwelcome guests. Our total list of services include termite control, rodent control, rat proofing attic decontamination, attic clean-up, ant extermination, bed bug extermination, cockroach control, spider infestation control, insulation removal, air duct cleaning, Greenfiber insulation solutions for residents all across California. All work is done in house with out the use of sub-contractors.

"It went rough, but we were both at fault. Had to say that first. But I am mostly satisfied. The outside sales person was on time for the walk through. He was nice and seemed knowledgeable. He had a lot of prior experience as a laborer before he became a sales rep. He was able to present his company and offer a quote on the spot. I agreed and gave him a deposit. Off we go. Right? Well, he based his quote on 700 square feet when it was actually 1100. That's why his price was low. You would think that I got a deal. But no. The labor crew only showed up with enough insulation for 700 SF. Not enough. So here is what we had to do. Introduce Jose. The lead man on the project. If it were not for him, it would have went south in a hurry. Turns out that Jose is a good person with a soul, and I am happy to "work with" a great person like Jose. APP is lucky to have him, and I hope they are taking good care of him. Just so you don't think I am fake, the "helper" that Jose had that day was worthless. Didn't want to work because he is a 20 year old kid who was out all night drinking and chasing girls (or boys), and was hung over. I did more 90% more work than he did (yes, I helped Jose. I have a good soul too). I let Jose vacuum out the old stuff, then I made him stop. He understood. Come back when you have 1100SF of insulation. Right? Before he took off, Jose up-sold me on insulating the bottom of my house (in between the floor joists under the sub floor)(under the house), applying a radiant barrier in the attic and switching from blown in cellulose with the pink panther batts. I ended up insulating under the house by myself. Nice. I communicated that to APP, but it got lost in translation. When the day arrived that Jose returned with 1100SF of material to finish the job, he showed up with two helpers. BTW, I had to request the APP office to please make sure Jose was who they sent to complete my job. Regardless of my implicit instructions that I subsequently made with the APP office, that I changed my mind and now want blown in cellulose again, and NO radiant barrier, Jose and crew still showed up with pink panther batts and radiant barrier. Whatever. The crew is there, lets get to work. The reason I only give them a B is because they installed the radian barrier wrong (in my opinion). I did research and radiant barrier should be one inch from the roof sheeting (plywood) if it's hot southern California. They stapled it to the 2x4 rafters so it's really 3-1/2 inches from the sheeting. Not sure if it is even radiating anything at this point. I think I just wasted a $1000. Even so, my neighbor asked me who did the job, and I ended up giving them the APP biz card, so I guess that was kind of a recommendation."

Dryer Vent Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you're dealing with an odor in your dryer that transfers onto your clothes and linens, here's what you can do: start by cleaning the lint trap and drum with warm soapy water. Then wipe down the interior using a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar to eliminate any lingering odors.

To get rid of odors you can try this method: take a cloth soaked in vinegar and put it inside the dryer. Run the dryer on a heat setting for 15 minutes. Afterward, make sure to dry the drum by running it with some towels. This technique helps eliminate any smells and leaves your dryer smelling nice and fresh.

If the odors remain, you may need to sanitize your dryer or call in a professional house cleaner to handle the job.

Odors, humidity problems, and health symptoms like headaches or allergies.

You will know if your dryer is overheating by placing your hand on top to feel its temperature. If it’s hot to the touch, that’s a clear sign the dryer is overheated. Other signs include your laundry coming out hotter than usual, a burnt smell when it’s running, or burn marks on your laundry.

If you just moved into a new house or found significant mold, dust, or pest remnants in your vents, or you see condensation on your air vents, you can easily find a highly trained pro to do the job correctly by asking a few key questions:

  • Do you have proof of liability insurance?

  • What about worker's compensation insurance?

  • Are you a member of the NADCA?

  • Have you worked on my model of HVAC system before?

  • What is included in your contracted amount?

  • Can you provide local references?

Yes, mold can grow in a wet dryer vent. Mold is a type of fungi, and fungi thrive in warm, moist conditions. Dryer vents need to be aired out so heat can escape and moisture can dry. If your dryer vents aren’t properly vented, the trapped heat and moisture will cause mold to grow, and the mold can spread to the dryer and even your clothes. Not only can this leave a musty smell on your freshly laundered clothes, but—more importantly—it also poses a health risk.
