"As new house owners, (we previously lived in a one bedroom apartment in NYC) my wife and I wanted to replace the flooring and paint our entire house. We inquired with a few different companies, one of which was Ameriproj. Matt came over a few times (as we kept changing our minds on what we wanted) and gave us multiple quotes for the different things we wanted to do. He was extremely patient with us and answered all our questions in person, on phone calls and through texts. He was extremely responsive to us and that was a big reason why we ultimately decided to move forward with Matt. As part of our decision, we asked Matt why he didn't have many reviews on Angi’s List, and he mentioned he had started up fairly recently. The reviews he did have were great and we're really glad we went with Ameriproj. Matt is one of the friendliest and nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He was very helpful and professional every step of the way answering any questions we had, anytime we had them. He walked us through the process of picking different types of wood flooring, the type of paint and finish. He coordinated the flooring installation and painting team to come at the same time and work in different floors to make the entire job faster. Matt and his team were all very respectful as both my wife and I were working from home. He asked us before doing anything out of the ordinary to avoid crossing any boundaries. Matt gave us a lot of advice and pointed out many things to us even if it didn't benefit him. For a few things, he was able to help us (such as mounting a TV on the wall and installing a chandelier). The flooring team was super experienced and did the job in a day and a half. The painting took about 8 days to finish painting the entire house out of the 10 that he estimated for us at the beginning of the job. We had 2 floors, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, hallway, stairs, laundry room, walk in closet. They even worked on Labor Day just to finish the job faster. We also already had some furniture in the house, so the painters had to either move the furniture or paint around them. They finish painted the entire 2nd floor first before moving to the first so they can give us privacy which was nice, and they accommodated us wanting to paint our home office last so that we could work uninterrupted. The painters did not cut corners - they were very skilled and painted their butts off. Matt detail reviewed their work and pointed out things that needed to be fixed, which they did. They really took their time, meticulously painting between the drawers and behind obstacles, making sure every single part of the house was painted perfectly. Overall I had a great experience working with Matt and would definitely recommend Ameriproj to friends/family for future home renovation projects. Thank you Matt!show more

"Awesome work! Tima is very personable and upfront. He not only took on a hack job that had to be redone, but also offered great suggestions that gave me a visual of something better and up to code. His crew, Francisco (his foreman) and Richard, did a fantastic job blending the fireplace wall and floor tiles. Francisco walked me through the progress, making sure I knew what to expect, and even explained to me about how they would have to reposition the TV bracket and nail it properly on studs to ensure safety. Now, because my TV is placed above the fireplace, I mentioned I needed to drill a hole through the new tiles and wall to pull the wires through so they don’t show; Tima contacted me and offered to do it for me, at no charge, to avoid any risk of the tiles getting broken from improper drilling - he came back the following week to do this. So, in a few days, they did a beautiful job and better than I expected - they got the job done, they did the job right, and they made me very happy!show more

"After obtaining several bids for our remodeling project, we chose to hire Seacliff Builders based on the company's positive reviews and our interactions with the owner, Darren. Darren's bid was fair and we felt he was straightforward and honest when he met with us for a free in-home consultation to discuss our project. Seacliff Builders provided the labor and construction materials and we provided the fixtures and finish materials. This was our first remodeling project and as such we had many questions and concerns. Darren was very open and receptive to all of our questions and concerns and worked with us extensively on the proposal as well as the contract to ensure that we were signing something we were comfortable with. Darren was also very responsive to all of my emails, texts, or phone calls, usually responding within the same day if not immediately. He also helped us with securing many of the materials we were responsible for in our project which was an immense help to us. In regards to the work, we replaced the wood flooring with porcelain tile in the half bath as well as installed a new toilet and exhaust fan. For the master bath, we did a full remodel including new walk-in shower, flooring, tub, toilet, vanity, etc. Darren also obtained the necessary permits for us. Darren's main employee Charlie completed demo on both baths and installation of drywall, fixtures, and finishes. Charlie was always on time, diligent, neat, and friendly throughout. Plumbing and electrical were subbed out and both were licensed. Tile work was completed by another sub and while there were some issues with the quality of work due to rushing/scheduling conflicts on the tile sub's part, Darren was very quick to address and rectify the situation when we brought it to his attention. While Darren did point out that the quality of the tile we chose may have contributed to the installation issues, he was still more than willing to make sure we were happy with the end result. Ultimately, the major problem areas were addressed and resolved and we were appreciative of Darren's professional and expeditious handling of the situation. Overall, we found that throughout the project, Darren was very easy to work with and he was very flexible and open to working with us when changes came up. When we wanted to change the design/placement of the shower niche, Darren was patient and worked with us to create a niche that worked for us despite being different from the agreed upon standard niche in our contract. Darren also provides a one year warranty on the work his company does and we experienced this when about a month after construction was completed we noticed a drop in shower water pressure and worried that there might be a leak in the plumbing. We contacted Darren and he came out the next day no questions asked. Thankfully there was no leak and just excessive sediment buildup from the pipes that had gotten into the shower head which he cleaned out and reinstalled for us. The level of customer service that Darren strives to provide to his customers and his open and honest approach to doing business is what impressed us most with Seacliff Builders and why we would consider hiring them again for any future projects.show more
