"I originally phoned Eric, 4.5 years ago, during the build out of our veterinary clinic. I needed a matte finish, non-slip, easy clean, no grout and super durable (20 + years) floor. Eric came to my location, the same day, to explain the process and show me samples. Eric also directed me to another vet clinic, where I could see the very same floor I wanted. I was able to see for myself how the floor was holding up and talk to the people who used it everyday and were responsible for cleaning it. Eric was attentive to our timeline. His staff was courteous and professional. It’s no small task coordinating the timing of grinding and prepping the concrete, laying down the layers of concrete coating and getting the walls painted without trashing the paint or the floor. Eric made it happen, when it needed to happen. Recently, we had a small area in the floor, where the concrete itself bubbled and broke apart, which damaged the coating surface. Eric came and explained what happened. He fixed the floor in one, hassle free visit and it was covered by the warranty. We couldn’t be happier with First Class Coatings and our floor. We highly recommend them. Thomas D. Pfafman DVM Angela Casey DVM Integrative Vet med Center"

"It went very well! John was prompt to come by to give a bid on the project. Then he showed up EXACTLY on time for both the space prep for the new concrete, and two days for the pouring of the concrete. John was pleasant, friendly, professional, and responsive. He cleaned up when he was finished, which not everyone is careful to do. The work was extremely well done, particularly at such a low price. I am delighted!"

"The job went very well.  He was on time.  All the cement was broken up and hauled away.  The pavers were arranged in an attractive pattern.  The workers worked hard and the job was completed quickly.  When all done everything looked good.  A year later everything still looks good."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

In general, crack fillers last for about two years on average. That timeline can be shorter if you have extremely harsh winters or longer if you live in a mild climate. Luckily, this product is pretty affordable at the hardware store (about $10 to $30) and easy to DIY, so redoing it every few years shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

Repairs typically take 1-3 days, depending on the damage and weather conditions.

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

No, wet concrete will not bond to dry concrete without an additional bonding agent. The common alternative is adding a sand or gravel layer under a concrete slab to enhance bonding and create a stable foundation. The right choice depends on the height and thickness of your two slabs, local laws, and the use of the specific concrete slab.

DIY repair is possible for minor cracks or small areas, often through patching. For a durable, properly leveled, and seamless finish, professional repair or resurfacing is recommended.
