"Everything from start to finish, scheduling to completion of the cleaning was great. I'm going to check out their window cleaning next. I'm sure it will be the same high quality service."

"Gaia has been wonderful. They use natural cleaning supplies to clean our home, which I very much appreciate. They are professional and thorough. I've used home cleaning services for many years across several states and I believe Gaia goes above and beyond most cleaning companies. They are courteous and respectful of our property and I believe they clean our home just like they'd clean their own. All of the agents are masked when they enter the home and throughout the cleaning. I'd tried a couple of cleaning companies in Tucson before finding Gaia. I'm very happy to be one of their customers and I highly recommend them."

"Craig reached out to me within minutes of my request for a quote. He thoroughly explained his service, his approach and the products that he uses to clean residential windows. I was impressed with his proactivity and responsiveness and set up an appointment on the spot for the following week. He checked in the night before the appointed, texted day of to say he was on the way and did an excellent job cleaning the windows, the screens, in fact, my aunt was so impressed with the job she kept his card for another cleaning in 6 months. My aunt's windows had some condensation in between the panes that made them appear cloudy due to a failed seal and Craig was very helpful in explaining not only why this had happened but also gave us suggestions on how to check with our builder to see about the window warranty and also vendors to use to replace the glass or windows if we chose to go down that route."

"Carlos and his guys did an awesome job trimming two trees, trimming bushes, adding weed killer and cleaning up by blowing both the front and back yard! They went above and beyond and did a great job! Everything looks great! Thank you!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you avoid deep cleaning, it can lead to a slew of issues for your health and home. Mold and mildew can grow in damp areas of the home, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms, which can cause allergic reactions and even structural damage to your house. A buildup of grime and dirt can allow bacteria and germs to thrive. A dirty home can also attract pests such as cockroaches, ants, and rodents.

To clean an estate, start by locating all important documents, which you’ll need to sort through. Have the mail forwarded, change the locks, and take inventory of the entire estate. Once you know what you’re dealing with, create a plan and a timeline for the cleanout. Start clearing out rooms and sorting items to donate, sell, or get rid of. Finally, deep clean the property.

You should consider doing a few things on your own that fall under the category of “good house cleaner etiquette” to prepare for your house cleaner. These include tidying counters, floors, and other surfaces, taking care of the dishes, moving laundry to the laundry room or a dedicated laundry basket, and putting away personal and private items. Think of your house cleaner as someone who brings your home from relatively tidy to organized and clean, and you should have no issues.

While you might get away with once-monthly vacuuming in rooms you hardly use, it’s not ideal in other parts of your home. Your living spaces will look untidy, and leaving all that dirt lying around is not the most hygienic. Plus, the longer abrasive debris sits on your surfaces, the more chance of scratches or damage to carpet fibers.

Yes, you will need to scrub every surface in your home after using a bug bomb to remove the chemical residue. You’ll need to scrub everything with soapy water at least two times, better yet three times, to enhance the protection of your furniture and other home items.
