We are licensed & insured in The City of Winslow & Yuma AZ. We are a very small minority owned business registered with the State of AZ Procurement and the Federal CCR. We are able to do small jobs as well as contract work.

I have been in the swimming pool business since 1969, specializing in repairs to pools and associated items. I spent a few years managing the landscape department before my managerial training. Great education. I was there 18 years then moved on to get back to my creative roots and a smaller company. Got to do some amazing projects, ponds and renovations. I started Natural Pools & Gardens in 1994 to better serve clients, as we have no commissioned salespeople, a situation which can offer a much more natural and functional end result than other methods. We also design / build the complete outdoor living space which allow us to design amenities which can actually be built, as opposed to 'happy lines on paper'. However if a client only wants a portion built, say a pool or a pond, we can do just that. Our goal is to make clients for life and since 1994 we have the privilege of doing multiple projects for a good number of our clients. Projects which fit naturally into the outdoor living space. How often you should fertilize your lawn depends on its health. A healthy, lush lawn with good soil health may only need fertilizing once per year. Other lawns with shallow roots or that have been neglected or overly reliant on fertilizers may need an application as often as every six weeks.

Buffalo grass does not turn green as early in the spring as some other grasses. If you have a heavily shaded yard, buffalo grass may not receive enough sunlight to thrive. It’s not as dense as some other grass varieties, so it may not feel as comfortable on bare feet.

The quickest way to kill weeds is to burn them, pour boiling water on them, or pull them out by hand. Each of these methods works instantaneously. Beyond that, using vinegar for grass works in a couple of hours, as do herbicides you can buy at the store. The slowest way to kill weeds is to starve them of nutrients and sunlight with mulch or fabric covers.

It depends on the type of grass and the condition of your lawn. We advised you to fertilize your lawn at least twice per year. However, warm-season grasses and nutrient-deficient lawns may need to be fertilized up to four times a year. Remember, you don't want to over fertilize either, so soil testing can help to determine if your lawn lacks nutrients and if it’s ready for another application.
