Arizonas Best-Way Services (AZBWS) is owned and operated by Pedro Olague. AZBWS provides general services and is able to utilize various equiopment and labor to accomodate projects. We are licensed & insured in The City of Winslow & Yuma AZ. We are a very small minority owned business registered with the State of AZ Procurement and the Federal CCR. We are able to do small jobs as well as contract work.

I have been in the swimming pool business since 1969, specializing in repairs to pools and associated items. I spent a few years managing the landscape department before my managerial training. Great education. I was there 18 years then moved on to get back to my creative roots and a smaller company. Got to do some amazing projects, ponds and renovations. I started Natural Pools & Gardens in 1994 to better serve clients, as we have no commissioned salespeople, a situation which can offer a much more natural and functional end result than other methods. We also design / build the complete outdoor living space which allow us to design amenities which can actually be built, as opposed to 'happy lines on paper'. However if a client only wants a portion built, say a pool or a pond, we can do just that. Our goal is to make clients for life and since 1994 we have the privilege of doing multiple projects for a good number of our clients. Projects which fit naturally into the outdoor living space. The most effective way to eliminate quack grass without killing the grass nearby is to overseed the area, keep the seed wet until it grows, mow often, and regularly fertilize the area to promote healthy grass that can choke out the invasive weed.

It depends on the condition of the grass during the drought. If your grass completely died, it won’t turn green again after drought. However, if it just went dormant, you still have a chance to revive your lawn once drought conditions have passed. Follow proper lawn care practices after a drought to try and get your lawn back to its healthy, green self.

The first step is killing any current nutgrass plants, either through application of herbicides or sugar, by digging up the plants and rhizomes, or by using soil solarization. To discourage new nutgrass plants from forming, ensure proper landscape drainage and bring shade into areas of the lawn that are consistently damp.

The quickest way to kill weeds is to burn them, pour boiling water on them, or pull them out by hand. Each of these methods works instantaneously. Beyond that, using vinegar for grass works in a couple of hours, as do herbicides you can buy at the store. The slowest way to kill weeds is to starve them of nutrients and sunlight with mulch or fabric covers.

If the grass is dead, you cannot bring it back to life. However, you can grow new grass in its place or try the methods mentioned above to revive the grass if it isn’t entirely dead. You can expect St. Augustine grass to come back after moderate droughts, but it will suffer significant nutrient loss after an extended period of drought.
