Customers say: True professional

"Father Paver did a highly professional and superb job build an in-ground firepit and patio for my yard. They were very meticulous to meet my specifications and expectations and it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend them, and I intend on using them in the new year for follow-on work in other parts of my property."

"We had them install 2 dedicated outlets upstairs in our house. They did a great job. They were very courteous and even wore shoe covers when moving around inside the house. Kurt was prompt with both the estimate and the work. Very nice company to work with."

"My wife, Kim, scheduled service with C2 based on reviews she observed on my Angie's List account.
Below is the list of grievances with using their services.

- Lack of Communication
   * Changed request with the office from 2 to 3 movers and the driver who called the day of move was not aware of the change
- Punctuality
   * Arrived 30 minutes later than specified
- Broken or lost items
   * Broke glass on large custom framed artwork
   * Broken lampshade
   * Missing fire pit screen
- Did not follow instructions
   * Loaded items they were instructed not to touch
   * Did not use supplied packaging tape as instructed, resulting in charging fees to use their tape
   * Ignored labels on items that are fragile and stacked heavy boxes on top of them
- Damage to home
   * My front security door, they removed a door pressure tube(prevents door from slamming shut) & pins without my
      knowledge/permission. The part was not reinstalled. I found the valve just thrown in the front yard in the rocks,
      missing 2 pins.
- Lack of Courtesy
  * They turned my thermostat down to 66 degrees upstairs, which I'm sure they were hot due to moving but did not ask
    my permission to change the temperature. When inside someone else's home, it is common courtesy to do so.
  * Unloaded boxes without notifying me of the location
- Inefficient with time which resulted in 3x the estimated cost
   * Initial 3 hours at $325 coupon offer, then $115 per hour for 3.5 hours. Final time charged is 6.5 hours
   * Observed movers carrying a single item (small chair) at a time, at a leisurely pace. (My wife began picking up items at this
      point in order to expedite the process. She, who is 5'1", carried heavier items than the movers who are 6'+.)

Positive Note:
Rudy was the only mover running around carrying large loads and working hard. Thanks Rudy for your hard work! We were excited to use C2 based on reviews and assumed positive intent where we even provided breakfast and refreshments for the movers. Again, much thanks to Rudy!

All the above are not speculative and actually did occur when using their services. Some of these grievances were discussed with C2 and we are awaiting a response.

My suggestion would be to be wary of the Angie's List reviews since our experience obviously differs. Take note that the special offers for services of 3 hours can be deceiving, since it is dependent on the movers adequate use of their time.

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.

There are several maintenance tips you should take to ensure your pellet stove's safety and proper maintenance. You should vacuum the ash pan every week to prevent overflowing and clean the stove and surrounding vents every three to four months. It’s also important to get a professional inspection every year and install a carbon monoxide detector close to your stove. Be sure to dispose of hot ashes in a closed metal container; store it outside, away from the house. Only use the pellets recommended by your stove's manufacturer, and follow any cleaning and maintenance instructions.

An outlet can start a fire if it has blown a fuse, or is sparking, overheating, or smells burnt. Prevent electrical fires by unplugging the device connected to the outlet and hiring an electrician to determine and fix the outlet’s issue. If the outlet stays hot or isn't working, you should fix it.

A home fire sprinkler system reduces heat, flames, and smoke within seconds. Fire sprinkler systems hide in walls with sprinkler heads running along the piping throughout your home.

When the air surrounding a sprinkler reaches a specific temperature, the heads closest to the fire activate and release anywhere from 10 to 25 gallons of water per minute.

You can’t gauge the lifetime of a fire door like you could, say, an engine. Fire doors should be checked at least once every six months to ensure there are no signs of degradation like leaks, holes, water damage, termite damage, or anything else that might compromise the functionality of the door’s fire resistance. Check your smoke detectors while you’re at it.
